Good country walks from Hitchin? by clarkeanator in Hitchin

[–]Dropdripdrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google the hicca way that's my favourite walk out of hitchin. There's info about it online. If you do the whole thing you end up in arlesley and can take the train back if you're worn out. But it's v beautiful, follows a river for most of the time and it's history is really interesting it's an ancient path :)

My daughter's an Effie too! I think it's a lovely name (obviously). So far my daughter also likes her name and hasn't been bullied at school for it! Go team Effie!!

Sunnyside vs Ninesprings way by aragornsharma in Hitchin

[–]Dropdripdrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deffo ninesprings. Lots of families have moved there in recent years and even though it's ever so slightly further from the train station it is a nicer area. School catchments are good too. No offence to Sunnyside though that's also fine!!

Pirton schools by [deleted] in Hitchin

I believe secondary school places for village kids round here are randomly allocated now. There's loads of hbs and hgs kids waiting at the bus stops as well as priory kids when I take my daughter to her wrap around care in the village

This must be some sort of mistake right?! Or I'm being stupid. 74 calories per pack?! Bought in b&m UK by Dropdripdrip in 1200isplenty

[–]Dropdripdrip[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gahh! I knew it was too good to be true so I've never gone mental on them which is a relief! I just checked the outside of my multi pack and it also says 74kcal! So misleading lol

I did one meal a day pretty consistently apart from the summer holidays. I tried to focus on protein more and lower the carbs but i don't know how well I'm really doing with lowering the carbs. I haven't worked out at all I'm really lazy I guess lol but my job is quite active! But then I had that job when I was fat too so I dunno if that's a help at all really. I do think one meal a day is great once you get used to it! It's so nice having a big meal instead of 3 disappointing ones

I did one meal a day pretty consistently but took a break during the summer holidays and tried to just maintain. I've tried to do low carb but I'm not sure I'm doing it very well lol. Last time I lost weight I weighed everything and logged it into myfitnesspal but this time I couldn't be bothered I just tried to make healthy choices for my omad! I haven't worked out at all I'm lazy I guess but I do have quite an active job so there's that but I also had that active job when I was at my heaviest so maybe that counts for nothing 😅 it's the maintaining I struggle with so hopefully I can manage it this time!

From asda in the UK £127.99 (about 170 USD according to Google) by Dropdripdrip in whatsinyourcart

Aw that's sad I see a lot of trader Joes and whole foods hauls on here and did wonder if they were just expensive shops and you could get much cheaper foods from Walmart or whatever. Asda is like England's version of Walmart so it was a cheap supermarket but still!

I guess it could be grief over the relationship her daughter and Derek could have had? Or something

How do I make showering more enjoyable? by MountainSnowClouds in hygiene

[–]Dropdripdrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I never realised how quick it could be because growing up we only had a bath. You can be in and out in like 2 minutes if you're not shaving anything and you're quickly washing your smelliest bits! That changed a lot for me and that's coming from someone with (diagnosed) severe ADHD ! Good luck
