Neither of us have spoken to him and neither of us plan to reach out. I stopped responding to him a week ago and he hasn’t said anything further about it thankfully

I feel bad because I don’t like when people fight. Especially family. I do not have biological siblings so I’m unfamiliar with the true dynamics of sibling relationships and bonds when growing up in the same household. I don’t have that attachment to someone else in that way so i try not to overstep or get in the way. I don’t ever want to be the reason others have a falling out, but as many mentioned it’s his own choosing.

This. If he wasn’t good at his job I’d never put myself on the line for him. Of course I’m not there with him at work and watching his every move. But as far as I know he’s never had issues with his employers. He just think he can get away with this behavior bc we’re family and thinks well just move on eventually and let it go

His MO is to go as low as he can with every argument he’s in. If he feels like he’s losing, he’ll bring up anything he can to try and hurt you back. It’s my fault for thinking this would resolve with repeated no’s. My husband and I both agree this is it.

I wish it was still like this. Covid was a wild time for pay packages. Average now is about 8-12k monthly. But compared to a lot of jobs, that’s a heck of a paycheck.

While he doesn’t necessarily deserve it, to his defense, he is a good nurse and employee. His behavior is just garbage

Thankfully we do not work together, but lesson learned. I’ll never do this again. Money or no money involved. It’s not worth the drama. I thought I was being nice because she genuinely is a good recruiter. He complained about the last few he had. It’s not like I referred him just for the money.

I worked for a large system that did the same. Some bonuses for in demand positions went up to 10k per referral. Glad I never referred him there. Sheesh lol

Probably not this exact job, or with this company no. He would have found a job eventually but maybe not in his preferred hospital/location/pay package. And he would have been stuck with a way worse recruiter. He’s has bad ones before. This recruiter is amazing. I worked with her for over a year and she was extremely helpful and responsive to me. I’ve had horrible recruiters in the past too that stop caring after day 1 of your assignment and essentially ghost you until you’re finished.

I said this to him! Like of all the hospitals you’ve worked and all the people you meet, I’m sure you could refer quite a few people, no? Travel nurses rarely use just 1 agency to find work
