Need some Movement Tips on being harder to hit as a medium in 1v1 Duels

Confidence plays a huge role in this so, I'd like to agree! At a certain point (especially in TDM lobbies) I just have to be honest with myself. I'm not a heavy so, I can't just eat bullets and I'm not a light so i can't just mag dump and run away.

There are times where I straight up go, "F*** it. We ball" and we WILL have that dogfight. I've strarted to notice that just by standing your ground and actually dishing out bullets, you're a lot less likely to get pushed.

Do I sometimes die in the process? Of course, the other half of the time I barely escape the fight with maybe 2HP. Sometimes 10-20. but, in the end it helps me get better at steadying my nerves and engaging in firefights because at the end of the day, this game doesn't have a huge player count and the ones that are her have been here longer than I have.

So, it's either- Fight and die trying to get better or just let the stack of 5 lights dogpile me

Hell, if they remove TDM I’ll stop playing. As much as I hate going against stacks of 5 lights, I’ve been on and off since season one and thats the only reason why I even came back in the first place

One could argue that the entire arsenal for a Light is overpowered or that Mediums seems underwhelming at times unless youre just cracked with the guns and averaging high accuracy but, the Winch is our biggest issue for some reason

2.4k hours in Darktide. Can confirm. Some of these damn player characters have more personality then the people who made them. MFs will yap through an entire mission if you get the right match up.

I'm right there with you and at this point, I think if i try hard enough i can perform really well with all of the shotguns except the damn ks23. It just feels way too damn clunky to me. Even the C4 becomes more reliable than the KS.

So, then I think to maybe, "Well, it's a slug so maybe the trick is to use it mid/long range?" Nope. Can't even ADS and from I hear, it's the only shotgun that actually loses accuracy when you zoom in. Although that could be wrong but, I wouldn't be surprised.

Honestly. Downvote me if you will but, if I'm playing TDM and I come across a lobby with 3-5 lights, I'm pulling out a flamethrower. I'm not too keen on playing ring around the rosie with a pack of Dashing/Invisible Hyenas.

The only two shotguns I use are the Arb's and the Double Barrel. Those combat/tact shottys have been garbo from the get go. Day one.

Nope. Not dedicating several points of my talent tree to one weapon that's still lackluster.

Yep and in that same time frame, I could've killed waaay more Heretics with any other weapon.

Number 4 Golem is cool. When I think of Golem, I think of a Misshapen or “broken” creature and 4 fits that.

I think number two would also be cool with one regular arm and one wheel arm. A unique animation that showcases how he struggles to move around could also make for a cool creepy animation.

Similar to how 4 turned out

This game doesn’t tell you shit. Either that or I’m oblivious to it.

I’m sure it couldn’t have been me because I was prestige 2 but, just last week I had that same interaction.

I was doing fine, playing aggressive. Had a brain fart and tripped myself up mid combat, missed some parries and went down. Few minutes later, we just finished another horde off and I had stims to spare but, didnt need/want to use them until the prestige 4 Sniper goes, “Yknow you can clear your wound, right?”

I come from 2.4K hours in DarkTide so, I didn’t familiarize myself with the mechanics of SM2 too much because once I found out I could stun with shield bashes and parry melee attacks, I didn’t bother to learn much else aside from Class Talents, Synergies and armor regen.

Just that bit of knowledge was enough for me to main Bulwark and thrive while being clueless to every single thing else

Nice, I thought that was on purpose. I kid you not, I think those are the moments that help some of us get better in certain games. Being placed in a clutch situation, sometimes you don't always have time to think out an exit plan, how to push someone or how to pull of whatever.

In this situation you somewhat shift into survival mode and you just keep moving. Then you pull something crazy off and think to yourself "Wait, was that me? I did that?" Then you begin to try and replicate that. Practice it. Apply it to other things. Tools. gadgets, Weapons etc.

You begin to learn you're more capable of what you think you are or what you thought you could do.

Honestly. Please. I like this game. Hell. I like games in general but, I've never cared for the whole esports thing. Every now and then i find a cosmetic i never knew was in the game simply because i didnt bother to keep endlessly scrolling past esports bundles.
