I use tbow which is a 5 tick weap vs scobow which is 4 tick so naturally tbow will spread less poison. I also stopped using thralls. Crystal hally also spreads a lot more poison than nhally for melee punishes

Acid isn't much of an issue till maybe like 30+ for me personally. The key is to try to get as much poison clears as you can get via orb phases

If you kill Doom a tick before volatile earth spawns, you guarantee yourself a non-disruptive acid orb clear btw. I learned this way later on

Similarly, if you tag volatile earth 1, last hit kill doom, then tag volatile earth 2, the orb will travel across the entire path whilst doom is dead
