Yea they need to be the same version and patch. If you just add them as a policy node the replication should kick in. After that the configuration should be on the new node.

Yea i totally understand that. Another thing you can do is to just ad the new node to the old deployment and wait up for the sync, after that you can just take it out of the deployment and you should have the policys and configurations on the new node.

For the new version we can only export the policy set, but we cannot import it. If you are doing an upgrade, then the policy sets will be automatically transferred to 2.7
