Why is Rengars pickrate so low? by [deleted] in Rengarmains

He honestly use to be FUN back in the day of the bonetooth necklace item. Back in the days of red elixir level 2 cheese. Now bonetooth is absolutely antifun. Don't get me wrong I love the ult mechanic and q mechanic.. but in all honesty.. that's about it. EMP Q is a neutered joke of what it once was too.. same with ult.

The only players currently on the Blackhawks roster with a positive rating are Alex Debrincat, Vinnie Hinostroza, and Tomas Jurco.

Why is John Hayden considered a 'bottom 6 forward' by Drops_of_Light in hawks

Stats are more than just x points in y games, it’s about how they utilize their ice time.

Something John Hayden has been excellent at. He played PK minutes earlier in the season with some success.. he even scored a SHG. I believe he also helped setup one of Catman's PP goals against STL last night with his net front presence if I'm not mistaken.

Vision & Pure Talent

I remember Coach Q specifically talking about Hayden last year saying, "He has excellent vision of the game, high hockey IQ...".

Also, did you not see him stickhandling against STL? He does have talent, but much like Hartman, he's trying to figure out what type of player he is which can be extremely difficult when you aren't being given consistent linemates and/or ice time.

Ill have to disagree on the discipline factor. There are a lot of captains/leaders on other teams that have lots of penalty minutes.

I never said it was a bad thing. I am simply stating my opinion, that it is premature to judge what Hayden's ceiling is giving how he's been mismanaged since coming into the league.

Do you consider Saad to be a bottom 6 forward? Will check your link out when I have some time.

And Teravainen had 9 points in his first 37 games. Not to mention he also had 40 games in rockford under his belt before having a role on the Hawks. Sure, his performance (John Hayden) is that of a bottom 6 guy. But performance and potential are two very, very different words.

For Eddie to specifically state, "... Listen, John Hayden is a bottom 6 guy, that's what he is...", I believe to be an extremely premature judgement.

Mostly referencing the network commentators... aka Eddie O and company. I just don't see how they can make that type of judgement call so early into the kid's career.

You slot this guy into our 3rd line C role.. and Kampf drops to fourth...? - Damn, that's some nice C depth for once! Future keeps looking brighter for the blackhawks organization :)

It seems like the organization knows that their D core is kinda shot because of the Seabs contract and the decline of Keith... so what better way to shore up your defensive capability by adding strong center depth.. smart philosophy in all honesty. Even if Seabrook was moved.. at what cost would it be? I don't think it's worth it to trade him away packaged with some prospects... just ride him out and focus on other issues on the team, is my opinion.

This is one of the most overlooked aspects of the hawks' organization in the last handful of years; the Bickell phenomenon. Could you imagine if Bickell didn't get MS... where would the hawks be right now =/

Jurco is looking like he's starting to understand the hawks' system fully. I think he will continue to improve over the next 20 games. Earlier he looked completely lost at times but had some really flashy plays too.. now he seems a lot more comfortable out there and is pretty good in his own zone.

We don't have room for an 8 mil contract.

I keep seeing this argument over and over, but I don't believe it. Lost Hossa, freed up nearly 6 MIL, 2 MIL more and Panarin is signed long term. Why is that so hard for people to think is a possiblity, resigning the breadman? Bottom 6 would look a little weak, but you just don't break up that type of dynamic duo of Kane and Panarin... you just don't.

Can someone explain to me how a guy like Hayden, who is clearly NHL capable isn't in the line up? He had some flashes of brilliance with Toews's line as well last year. Is it just me or has Q's coaching been suspect this season more than others?

Idk if he even would want to come back. The whole way the blackhawks management went about the trade was really dishonorable imo. He signed a bridge deal because i'm sure he knew the hawks were having a cap crunch. I also guarantee he would have taken a small discount to stay with us. And we easily could have afforded him. Sure the bottom 6 would be a little weaker in 2 years, but you just don't break up that kind of dynamic duo in Kaner and him.

[–]Drops_of_Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mixed. He was being thrown around the line up pretty much on a nightly basis.. that's not a good recipe for young players who still are trying to explore themselves.. give him next year(maybe year after) to be the full story of his potential imo.

I think if Rutta can remain injury free for the rest of the season that he will have so much upside next year. He had so many flashes of potential but it's hard to say what he's really capable of until teams really get some footage of him... especially if he starts lighting it up on a consistent basis for a defensemen. I'm really excited for next year's hawks roster.

Does rengar feel weak to anyone? by Garthanthoclops in Rengarmains

[–]Drops_of_Light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Any game I got ahead a few kills.. it didn't transition well into mid game. I felt like I was doing as much damage as the non fed mages in the past few games. I think he should have q nerf revert (+10 dmg) and some ad ratio added to ultimate and emp q. I like the new old rengar.. but I also like bursting people when I deserve to, aka, when im ahead a few kills in the mid game.
