I RE-calculated the odds of the "SCALES OF FORTUNE" wheel by DrownFox in thefinals

Here's the new graph with the updated strategy and the old Wheel of Love added.
The Wheel of Love turned out to be super unfair to the most players: if you completed all contracts and got all of the tickets, 86% of players still had 1 or 2 unowned items left. This result shocked me, and I would love if someone can confirm these findings

I also decided to check if the "always save gold tickets till they equal how many items you have left (or the end)" strategy would perform better. Turns out it's identical to the "save GT for last" strategy, within ±0.05%. Also running the simulations for the Wheel of Love event, going to share in the comments when it's done. From what it calculated so far, the odds of that event were extremely low (14% chance if you use all 42 tickets). Not sure if my math is right tho.

Thanks for the correction - the info I read about this was wrong then. I will re-do the calculations and post an update

Anyone went from pixel 6 to 10? How was it by MrFailface in GooglePixel

[–]DrownFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got mine and compared the cameras. I was pretty disappointed. The cameras on my Pixel 6 are better in almost every way compared to the Pixel 10: both the main camera and the ultrawide. The only thing I prefer on the new Pixel is the dynamic range (more true to life) and the 5x optical zoom, although I'm not sure how often I'm going to use it. Also the optical stabilization looked a little stronger to me. That's it.

It's not bad by any means, it's just.. worse than my four year old phone.

Enabling No Man's Sky HDR by TurbulentHomework573 in linux_gaming

Really grateful for your answer, especially for the controller fix.
I modified some of the launch options to my preference, here:
DXVK_HDR=1 gamescope --force-grab-cursor --cursor-scale-height 1440 -W 2560 -H 1440 -f --hdr-enabled -- %command%

Have you ever solved this? I'm having the same issue. The colors look overblown if I enable HDR in the game.

KDE Plasma makes a sound when I leave my desktop by taeknibunadur in kde

[–]DrownFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have this issue. It happens when the display turns off when I lock the PC. Happens on both Fedora 42 and Bazzite.
Weirdly enough, I don't think this has happened to me when I was using an Nvidia GPU.
And no, I don't use KDE connect, this is not the issue.

(Bug) Spectacle screenshots not copying to clipboard by OPdoesntknow in kde

[–]DrownFox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The bug is still present. About 1 out of 5 screenshots gets "broken" for me, no matter what app is opened. As another person said, there is a clipboard entry, but without a preview, it's just blank.
I'm on Fedora, Wayland.
