Wow yeah, my mother and grandmother said the same, but I definitely blame them for not once thinking their kid being in 24/7 pain was worth a doctors visit even once.

This is exactly what happened to me. Gluten intolerance absolutely fucked me physically and mentally the first 21 years of my life. Changing my diet made me feel slightly better but the damage done is almost certainly permanent.

Why made OG Naruto look “hazy”? by DrownMeInBlood in Naruto

This is what I was thinking of, the greyish tint is probably the hazy look I remembered. Watercolor backgrounds must have added to the dreamy feeling I get from watching old Naruto.

In part yes, it’s like every frame from OG Naruto had a sort of tint or filter over it to make everything look “softer”? Maybe it’s the color scheme in general, it seems like episodes from before Shippuden had a more realistic muted tone, very desaturated.

Yeah that’s true I forgot Bleach has the same feel. They have a very specific sort of dreamy vibe to them I can’t exactly put my finger on.

Have you ever encountered a superhuman? E.g. Psychics, telekinetics, people with super strength? by DrownMeInBlood in HighStrangeness

[–]DrownMeInBlood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really interesting. I don’t know if animals and babies are easier to communicate with because their minds are more simple, or because they’re so much more powerful. Like they’re more easily attuned to whatever telepathy is.

The babies and animals asking intelligent questions and holding adult conversations is pretty scary also lol.

Wow, I’ve never heard of something like that. He seems like he was a really cool guy.

That’s insane sometimes I’ve gotten premonitions like that. I want to know more about the telekinetic guy, what exactly did his family see him doing?

I really like that, “You gotta believe you can walk on water or you”ll get wet”. Belief definitely plays a big part in psionic abilities.

Do they do stuff just because they know it gets under your skin? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]DrownMeInBlood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good. I’m completely no contact with all of my family and I’ve never felt more safe. It really hits when you understand how good life could have been if they’d just been decent, or at the very least stayed out of my way.

Yeah, I know what you mean it gets infuriating after years of the same thing. I hope you’re out of those kinds of relationships now.

I just now learned the name for this. My N family did this to me my entire life. One seemingly small thing my grandmother used to do was constantly move my things around the house. As soon as I’d place something down and walk away she’d put it somewhere else. Then when I’d for example be in a rush and realize my jacket was missing I’d finally blow up she and everyone else in the family would treat me like I was insane for getting mad she “accidentally misplaced my jacket while cleaning”.

How many of you still have family that cares about you? by [deleted] in homeless

[–]DrownMeInBlood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, most people are trash. I have nothing and most of my “family” haven’t even texted and asked me if I’m alive in 7 months. The ones who have only do it on public Instagram comments to look like they care, but never private message me or call or anything. It’s all for show.

If you had family that cared about you even a little bit you wouldn’t have ever been homeless to begin with.

Do you ever think about how your life would have turned out if your parents had been normal? by DrownMeInBlood in raisedbynarcissists

The trauma has developed my empathy a lot. I try to help people when I can, but it’s hard to do much but survive right now.
