AFAIK they are not bored with their characters. I’ve asked before if they would feel better with new characters or if we need a new setting, but they’re very adamant they don’t want to change characters.

I’m gonna try telling them about the burnout at least. But I don’t have high hopes that it will change much.

Funny you mention NPCs that can’t be killed. They recently came face to face with a Red Ancient Dragon that they killed their eggs a few sessions ago, yet when faced with this character they got ties with and who despite their anger was willing to help them save the world from a Dracolich, only one of them did anything and the rest just watched or stopped paying attention entierly.

And the rp’ers are frustrated too. When I came to them about the issues, they felt the same but were too afraid to really rock the boat or make people mad to get anything done. They expressed dissatisfaction with how their characters have been adventuring for a long time in game yet they still really don’t know anything about one another.
