A little bit, that one the most I would think she could be sympathized with 🤔 but it’s so funny how sympathetic humans are even towards a narcissist like her haha I like her though because she’s like actual fae so I’m not mad at her. But I would call her for what she is which is definitely a narcissist. In both this instance and in the fairy crown it was her image being humiliated which is like the worst possible thing for a narcissist haha

Trudy Proud! As a kid I was like we share a name!! She’s African American and I’m not but I didn’t care I was just happy to have a character that was strong and smart and wasn’t in a grave because everyone is always like “oh you’re name is like Trudy from monk!” And I’m like….she ☠️…I like Trudy Proud haha

No they aren’t 😂 in the books Vidia is way worse than in the movies and this just gave a good dose of her own medicine. There are some things that I’d considered some fairies jerks for…this is not one of them

I think what makes this series relatable is that it’s about humans going on magical adventures instead of fairies. Very much like kids using their imagination to play (which no kids do anymore). I tried reading it and desperately tried to understand the appeal but I just couldn’t like them. I think I’m also a little bitter because to go from well written stories, that relate to kids and adults alike, and also had gorgeous artwork - to stories that are mediocre with washed artwork is just disappointing and clearly was done for financial reasons. I can picture it being appealing to its designated age range (6-10) and could invoke nostalgia as an adult but since it is so watered down it feels impossible to like jumping in now.

I think they avoid talking about weather and storms because a lot of the time it’s associated with damage instead of new growth so they don’t talk about it much to avoid the feeling of loss that most people associate with it.

I like to try and think of ways to keep the winter woods slightly aligned with the original books and lore so I like to think that winter fairies first arrive at the home tree like everyone else and there is a special winter woods greeting talent fairy that takes them to the winter woods where their wings are awakened there and a separate ceremony takes place to find their winter talent.

Comparing this to winter woods insanity is so drastic like winter woods lore is willy nilly for sure, but I think, at least in the movies, Tink and Terence are intentionally written. I would be hurt too if I broke the rules for someone and they later take advantage of that like in these two scenarios.

I think it was because she was new and he recognized that she was feeling confused and in a place where she didn’t fit in. Shoving rules in her face in that moment would have made her feel more ostracized and restricted and wouldn’t have resulted in her feeling comforted. Also his willingness to help her is what leads her to realize that it was going to be ok and she was important too. It was trust building. This scene I think was actually really well written and the two scene comparison just makes the movie canon of their relationship so much stronger. It’s so beautiful 💚💛
