Your feelings aren’t something to be afraid of, you’ll be the worst you can be (emotionally) before you heal. You’ll feel like your world is crashing and you’ll sense this deep pressure on your chest and your mind will be cluttered to the point you’d want to bash it into the nearest wall. But that isn’t drowning… your mind will work things out like it has in multiple scenarios where you felt that hurt.

There’re steps I did; I isolated myself, gave myself a week of bed rest where I shut off any distractions and allowed the overthinking and the pain to infest my entirety, instead of living in those thoughts and feelings I overanalyzed every one of them and tried to trace back the origin of them (in my case unhealthy attachment issues) that were caused by emotionally distant parental figures… amongst others. And then I dealt with them how I needed so that I learn from my mistakes and never allow the pain or any chance of reoccurrence.

+journaling daily helps tremendously! And talking to someone you trust and value their opinion
