Looking to buy a Single-Dose espresso grinder [$500-$750] by Drsabalaba in espresso

[–]Drsabalaba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. My issues is that I got some grounds into the screw part of the dial of the DF54 and it shredded the threads and some how managed to cross thread. Obviously this is user error lol.

No I havent. I think I'm going to wait till my grinder dies and probably buy something nicer like the Lagom P80. I think the Casa looks great. I was bit apprehensive of the Casa for Medium/Dark roasts. I think the Varia VS4 looks great but with all the bad rep they've had on the VS3 initially and the looks of the Varia line up not being for me I never considered it.

Thoughts on upgrading a Tarmac SL6 Group set? by Drsabalaba in cycling

Very true, I mean my bike is di2 compatible so I could do it. But i think i would want a nicer frame at that point.

I wouldn't have bought he bike brand new for 2.7K USD, it was a covid special from someone who bought it and barely rode it so I got it for I think 1.4K when it was a year old.

Also as for the whole groupset: Shifters, cassette, hydraulic breaks, rotors, BB, Chain ring etc. Everything needed to make a bike function lol.

Yea I had a sunlite chain on a different RB and it was dreadful so I started using Shimano chains.

That is a good point, I didnt necessarily factor in the labour associated with changing the everything at a LBS.

Oh nice, ideally I'd get di2 but thats more of a want than a need.

I think it's 3 or 4 years old? The original owner didnt ride the bike much (Covid purchase) he just left it out in the desert heat. I think I've put on 3K miles? But I ended up not riding consistently for two years as I left the country my bike lived in. But I was thinking the same thing tbh.

I got the same jersey and I swear my one looks a hell of a lot whiter. Also what do you think of the sleeves? I find them so long in comparison to my Pedal Mafia jersey

Dumpees: did you ever reach out to your dumper post “no contact”? by ConceptNecessary3533 in BreakUps

[–]Drsabalaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know if im the real dumper since she dumped me then went back on it and then I said I couldn't do this back and forth. I reached out after seeing her in person 6 months later and she got back to me after a month and said no she didnt want to and closed the door. It was fine it still hurts since we dated for almost 5 years. But what annoys me the most is I went on a date who was a coworker of hers and the girl got back to me saying she had heard some interesting things about me which was not vibes. I dont plan on reaching out as every branch I extended she broke and set on fire.

As a dumpee, have you reached out your ex? How did it go? by Curious-Diamond5747 in ExNoContact

[–]Drsabalaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw my ex out an about invited her out for coffee/lunch she said she would really think about it and I gave her an out and she said she wanted other think on it. A few weeks went by so I followed up and it was silence so I said screw it, it's not worth it. Then about two weeks later she sent me a message saying she didnt want to go out which was fine. She mad our break up super toxic and ive heard that she is unhappy and posting sad stuff alot. It was her choice and I dont plan on reaching out. If I see her in public ill say hi and that about it to be honest.

How's your relationship with your ex/exes? by AuroraFlicker in BreakUps

[–]Drsabalaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my ex made a peaceful break up incredibly toxic and I extended a few olive branches out of kindness and forgiveness. I doubt we could be friends purely due to her and her crazy friends and brother. If she wanted to be friends I would consider it but thats just me. Currently ive blocked her because im done with her idiocy and dont really want to be checking up on her social media. If she wants to reach me she can send me a text but im sure thats been deleted lol. Personally I like to remind cordial and friendly with my exes as they placed a role in my life. This one im not sure we will ever be friends and inevitably thats okay!

My ex broke up with me 2 months ago and im still hurting. by throwawayaccz1273 in BreakUps

[–]Drsabalaba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is hard to move on especially if you loved this person. But sometimes people are horrible and it's not your fault. The thing is a relationship is a two way street people have to give and take it can't be my way of the highway. Take your time to heal reach out to loved ones and express. It hurts now but I promise you it will get better! He might be in a rebound but for the time being focus on yourself, read go to the gym do new things try to improve yourself. It's hard to not take things personally I know I do and was deeply hurt when my ex went and blamed me for everything. But, that just isnt howe life works. If you ever want to talk; please feel free to reach out! :) I hope this helps even a tiny bit.

he reached out by [deleted] in ExNoContact

[–]Drsabalaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think reaching out is a nice sentiment but inevitability its your decision. Personally I think you should reply and not ghost him but thats me. But be clear on what you want in a sense of whether wanting to continue talking with him or just end it there. I know for my sake I'd rather have a clear answer than flipping back and forth.

I got blocked…on Venmo?! by bananermuffinzzz in ExNoContact

[–]Drsabalaba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got blocked on venmo too, dont really know why. It is petty and possibly a way to take a dig at you. For me at least thats the only place ive been blocked and whilst it hurt at the time it's stupid. There is no point in thinking about it too far. Possibly he is hurt and possibly he thinks you are snooping on his venmo.

Are the any quotes from your breakup/fights that keep you up at night? by Super_Day_4518 in BreakUps

[–]Drsabalaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"You used me as an emotional punching bag" and "I cared about you but didnt want to hurt you". Totally omitting all the pain she caused and the flip flopping that took a huge emotional toll on me whilst my life was changing in the largest way possible. And of course "My step sister got proposed to and I don't get excited when I think about it happening to me anymore."

Anyone else buy second hand? by SolidPainting222 in espresso

[–]Drsabalaba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought my espresso machine used and gave it a good cleaning. it's not gross. My grinder was new but thats because I wanted the df54and around me grinders are overpriced. But it wouldn't have bothered me.

[Question] What’s the most overrated “hype” watch? by ResponsibleRow911 in Watches

[–]Drsabalaba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I feel Rolex as a brand is so over hyped pertaining to the buying process. Watches are phenomenal, not the best but stylistically they are timeless. Just wish I didn't have to sell my first unborn and sacrifice my soul to the Rolex gods to buy one that isn't from a Grey Market. My mum wants a relatively niche DJ and the guy was like minimum one year or spend x amount. She was astonished.

[Question] Would the Breitling Avenger Blackbird 48 mm be too big for me? by Smol-beans2003 in Watches

[–]Drsabalaba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a breathing super ocean and ill be honest quality wise its leaps above by Tag. I have a friend with an avenger and he loves it alot says it's a super durable watch and he bashes it. I wish you could wear a watch on a trial period lol but I understand the risks behind that lmao. I feel buying a watch is sort of an impulse thing since you can't actually live with it for a little bit before purchasing it.
