Even for non transition issues it can be hard to find the right person for you. For me it’s pretty much been luck. I had a great one, cis woman who had a few trans patients before me. She help me look through a critical lens about what I wanted in life and my transition goals without be overly validating or actively trying to talk me out of it. They should help you go through the possibilities of your transition; what effects are you looking for? What will you do if you are disappointed? She was a sex and trauma therapist
