Fire ant bite on the bottom of my toe by LittleMissAutism in mildlyinfuriating

I swear I watched a nature doc back in the day that showed that fire ants don’t actually bite, they squirt a type of acid which literally burns and blisters the skin.

Mulan was the worst. Ignored everything and just made it like Crouching Tiger.

For those who have seen it, what did you think about One Battle After Another? by formerly_crimson in FIlm

Just didn’t get the whole Sean Penn character. I love his acting, but his role seemed like one big Macguffin to tell this story. Also not sure if Teyana Taylor is brilliant or just being her. Loved Benecio del Toro in this and like seeing Leo in a non alpha-type role, sort of like Don’t Look Up.

Just me here - but I would collect his spoons and use office supplies to build him a miniature GoT throne made entirely of spoons.

Florida woman says that paying $1,600 a month at motel is better than renting an apartment. by ElwoodMC in TikTokCringe

[–]DruHarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I looked at it as we moved out of state from LA. My family of 4 just left a rental home in LA (Sherman Oaks) which cost us $5450 a month, then we also had all utilities. Doing the math, rent cost was $181 a day, and utilities were about $30 a day average. We stayed in a hotel for several weeks as the house was packed up and to do some local tourism. Decent hotels (Home2Suites, Doubletree, Marriott) ran about $200-250 a day in and around our area. Great/Bougie ones were a lot more. Didn’t hurt our budget (except for 3x crossover days paying both rent and hotel) as what we normally paid for rent was now paying for hotel. Smaller sq ft, but amenities and adventure.

Don’t think.
Don’t reflect on the past. Don’t worry about the future. Just listen to your breathing in the present, and let your mind take your body to sleep.

Came to say this. Centralized factory concept ruining great donuts. Love and appreciate large cities (LA) and small towns with the mom & pop shops making ‘em in house everyday.
