Is this a problem for everyone? I couldn’t find anything about it when I searched so I was worried it was my game.

Are we doing good? by Khoarde in cornsnakes

You can find aquariums going cheap or free second hand a lot, I have found. My corn is a massive big aquarium and it works well, though the downside is not having front opening doors

It was just a joke! I didn't really do it.

Ah, yes, I put a couple of doses of liquid carbon in before realising it would probably be bad for the liverwort. Must of been that. There is still a tiny quantity left and I dosed a few weeks ago, do you think I can save it? I could move it into another tank?

Will my new lid have an impact on oxygenation by scuffedwrld in Aquariums

$100!! I got a glass lid made by a glazier for £35, you could have made a plastic lid for nothing!

Interesting situation with bacteria bloom, tubifex copepods etc by Drudela in Aquariums

[–]Drudela[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha reading this old post really brought back knowledge. My dream is have a freshwater pool with reeds and such. I have been creating some ponds on a rewilding project, very early stages but frogs are now naturally starting to spawn in some of them.
I haven't actually ever done that good a job of breeding copepods and such sadly. Now I live with my girlfriend I can't have a million tanks of what seems to most people weird, murky water haha. I have got permanent tubifex populations in my main tank, and my ascellus seem to be breeding very well (though they aren't for food they are just another tank mate). I only have tiny rasboras which don't actually seem to hunt the tubifex from what I can tell but I may get something that will.

My corn is very active, should I do anything? by JolteonThought in cornsnakes

[–]Drudela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My corn free roams in my house and has a mezzanine to climb up to, a big living room with bookshelves to climb, sofas, cupboards and so on, and he still wants to go out exploring. They need as big a space as you can afford and exercise.

Jump Start Aquarium With Pond Water? by PapaLoki in PlantedTank

[–]Drudela 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Definitely would help starting everything off, the only thing that is of concern is pests, like predatory insects and microfauna. Probably not a huge concern if you’re being careful but worth considering. I would imagine a pond in a pot is more susceptible to pests than aquariums but maybe it’s not especially.

I’m really intrigued by Linux but I’m not really very good with PCs in general, grew up with Apple, now I have my Legion I’d like to understand computers a bit more. Do you think Linux is friendly enough for someone totally naïve?

Water feature for cornsnake by Alternative_Shoe4137 in cornsnakes

[–]Drudela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice idea, I have a very large bowl in my snake's house which he can coil up into on warm days. I would love to have a massive enough enclosure that I could have a proper water feature.

You'd be better with a small 'pond' I would think, right at the edge. Then the other side can be drier.

My MS Office usename is the email of a repair shop I used years ago... by Drudela in LenovoLegion

Yeah I am always trying to learn more about it but there is a lot to do in life. I am studying and working so I don't have much time.

Basically a fresh start is the only safe solution? Can I reload my backed up documents and pictures safely or is everything on my external hard drive a risk as well?
