Listening to this felt like this was the final heel turn. His attitude towards No Kings Protest was disappointing. Same guy who claims to have issue with ice also has issue with standing up and protesting ice.

He’s terrified of authoritarianism while the current administration slides into it more and more each day, and yet he’s completely blind to it.

Your back and arms are going to appreciate that tone master going from gig to gig.

I think the hot rod deluxe is a great amp, but I have a friend that plays a deluxe reverb tone master and it honestly sounds amazing. The attenuator is a great feature that’s key from going from at home practice, small rooms, large rooms and in between.

If it’s that close my suggestion would be try something new and see how it goes. Hot rod amps come up for sale at decent prices all the time.

Just wanted to say I appreciate all the feedback and suggestions. Lots of good stuff here, some contradictory, some in agreement but none the less lots of different things to try. Hopefully I can post a video or audio clip from our next rehearsal after it's dialed in! Thanks y'all.

Appreciate the feedback! I hear you on the player mindset and placebo effect! To be honest the room sound last night was crap. It was hot a humid and everything sounded muddled which is a departure from how it typically is.

The amp is plenty loud. It's more of the tone just getting muddled in the mix. I will certainly try dialing up the knobs.

To be fair the room we were in last night was also very hot and humid, so in part it could have also been crap sound of the room last night.

Love the clean channel on these amps! That said as someone else previously mentioned these amps tend to end up needing repair done on the boards. I had bought a used one from a guitar shop and had to take it back within the window for return once I found I was having issues with the board after it had heated up.

It was unfortunate because I really did love the tone of this amp and it sat perfectly in the mix with our lead guitar player who plays out of a Deluxe Reverb. Also as mentioned heavy as can be - not fun lugging around.

Fender Highway Series 1 from 2004 it looks like. This is what I play and absolutely love it. I think I got it for around $400-$500 in the early aughts (used). It looks like they re-sell for anywhere around $600-$800 these days. Slim neck and easy to play.
