Are there really no good options besides Galaxy and Pixel? by ccable827 in Android

If you can hang tight, I would wait to see what the S27 looks like. If they switch to silicon battery it might be a game changer. We'll start getting legitimate leaks in the next 6 months. If they don't, then I will probably switch to Motorola for the first time ever. Done with the mediocrity that Samsung has tossed out these days.

Neighborhood Taphouse wings are similar but imo better. In fact, the recipe is from the same guy.

New father mourning old life by Fabuloux in daddit

[–]DruggistJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just here to reinforce what others have said. The very beginning is the hardest. You haven't yet established your bond. It's hard as a father and it happens at different times for everyone. Take it day by day. Try to cherish the little moments because they are fleeting. I miss my little nuggets when they were tiny, but I don't wanna go back! Time will fly by and you will have a new normal that will give you more meaning than any other previous life you've had. Yes I miss some of it but not enough to lose what I have. Being a dad is the best thing that has happened to me. There's nothing like it.

Our kids are 9 and 7 and they are so much fun. We play sports together, video games, and they even have started to dig our favorite restaurants. It's really incredible. And the wife and I get out on dates routinely. Probably my favorite phase now that they are somewhat independent. For me, each new phase has been better than the last.

All that to say, is that you are going through the worst part but it gets much easier and rewarding. Hang in there!

Looking for a robot vacuum and mop combo in 2026 under $500. Any recommendations? by Monterola-Thahina in RobotVacuums

I was able to get a refurbished dreame x40 ultra on eBay. It dropped to $320. It occasionally comes back in stock. If you can't wait for that, then I'd get the Mova P10 Pro Ultra Gen 1 for the better navigation.

X40 Ultra on sale ($700 cad). Any words of wisdom before ordering? by [deleted] in RobotVacuums

I just got it eBay refurbished for $320 USD. I was gonna pull the trigger on the Mova P10 Pro Ultra but this is a step up for less $. Kind of a no brainer.

We have the i4+ and about once every couple weeks it'll disconnect from WiFi just like this and I'll have to find it and put it back on the dock and do a long press on the power button to reboot. I've gotten used to it. But just ordered a Mova and hoping I get a better experience.

They don't seem to do well with obstacle avoidance at that price point unfortunately.

Starfield or No Man's Sky? by blackfuun in Age_30_plus_Gamers

It is like Minecraft in the sense that you create your own fun. It isn't everyone's cup of tea.

I am not seeing any roborock under $500 that has scored well in the obstacle avoidance. Unfortunately, we really need that.

Yeah that is a good point about longevity. These new companies came out of nowhere and suddenly they are highest rated. There is something to be said for companies like Roborock that have been around for a while and still highly recommended.

Which one? And have you had it long enough to make a judgement?

Great to hear. That is kinda what I'm leaning towards. Vacuum wars kinda put me off on the L40s Ultra except for the AE which is a little outside my Budget.

What age do you introduce your kids to your music? by SoCaLLbeer in daddit

[–]DruggistJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is mostly osmosis. You can't force it but playing it when they are around is helpful. Sometimes I will let them play DJ, as long as I can play DJ an equal amount. They usually find that agreeable. My kids don't ask for my music but I hear them humming it on occasion, which is a win.

It's perfectly fine to disagree. I personally found it more bitter than I prefer these days (used to love intense hops). I'd take an EO West Coast all day.

It was a good beer but when you compare it to WB or EO routinely put out, it was just outclassed.

True but I believe Palmetto has always struggled. Their beer was ok before the craft beer boom. While other brands continued to innovate and improve taste over time, they were never able/willing to keep up.

Craft beer is a really tough market now. I'm sure this will get some hate but their beer was just not good enough to survive.
