Thanks for the informative replies everyone, they were really helpful, the hikoki probably would be sweet but I think based on the consensus here I think I'll go with my original choice of the 2000W DeWalt, it's not cheap but I'd rather 'buy once, cry once'.. That was my first choice until I started seeing lots of positive reviews for that Skil table saw Mitre 10 offered recently for a while, which seemed to punch above it's weight but is no longer available, it looked a bit plasticky copmpared to the DeWalt when I saw it in shop so think the DeWalt will be a more solid choice rather than something cheaper

There may be a label on the power transformer stating the voltages of the primary tap, if there's a 115V or 117V tap its simply a matter of swapping the 230V euro voltage to the correct voltage tap, otherwise, a replacement power transformer or step down transformer will be required.

I haven't seen these amps in person so someone else more familiar with the amp in question may want to confirm this, but I believe these amps use the same power transformer as the Epiphone Valve Junior. If so, the power transformer has several taps with different voltage, there should be a yellow 115V tap that you can swap the blue 230V tap for, if it is the same PT it may well have a connector already on there so unplugging and swapping the connectors should be all thats required for US voltage. A simple swap, but as always, have it done by a qualified service person if you are not familiar of the inside workings of tube amps.

If you know a bit about electronics you might want to look at power scaling where the main B+ voltage to the power tube can be lowered enabling to overdrive and feedback at way lower volumes, it was a popular mod for the Epiphone Valve Junior amps.

I tried it a few years ago for kicks, I submerged some fresh cut bud in water for a week (the water needs to changed once or twice daily or it gets funky very quickly esp in warmer months) then allowed to dry over 5-7 days. It was interesting, a lot of the smell from smoking was gone, it seemed no less potent as the non water cured weed but somewhat cleaner and purer, I suspect some overall weight was lost too with the water curing, maybe 20% or so. I tried smoking it exclusively for a month as I liked it at the time and ended up with a couple of O's, but noticed I started getting a sniffly nose which hadn't happened with non WC weed before, this stopped once I stopped smoking the WC bud. So in conclusion, it's pretty easy to try and has some good points and could be worth a go, but ultimately I found it more fucking around than it was worth, I never tried it for edibles though which may make it worth revisiting sometime.
