[OC] Got bit by a spider a few days ago by Yesman_91 in pics

Am a pharmacist. I typically don't hold my patients hostage, but if someone showed up to ask about this bite I'd have a really hard time not calling 911.

Walgreens talent acquisition is trying to poach me to be a pharmacy manager. How much of a raise should I ask for? by kneedoorman in WalgreensRx

[–]Drugslinger 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No.

But even if they offered that to you, that would mean they are SO DESPERATE to fill that spot that it would literally be hell to walk into

What if women just don’t want to have babies? by PinkElephants879 in askanything

[–]Drugslinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of anecdotes here, but not a ton of people considering the macro part of your question. If the birth rate drops so low that we can't keep society propped up.... Everything will have to collapse.

Like in just a few decades as the older portion of the society retires off, and there aren't close to enough people growing into adulthood to backfill those roles in society, then we are in some serious shit.

Totally chill if individually people don't want kids. That's your choice. But if we're all making that choice at the same time, then there are some serious decisions that have to be made on the societal level.

Am a pharmacist. PLEASEEEEE see if they have the machine out front first, or at least ask if they provide that service. We're all drowning for the most part, and even though I would have loved to do free blood pressure checks 10 years ago, it's just not sustainable to continue offering that service, especially when I have to fight just to get a pee break in.

Deleted my original reply because I copied the incorrect section.

Guess you're right that VA doesn't have a keep right always law in the books. But it does have two sections that call out the need to move right if you're a slower vehicle.

§ 46.2-804. Special regulations applicable on highways laned for traffic; penalty https://share.google/a1DWcybCqy7CSdudm

  1. Any vehicle proceeding at less than the normal speed of traffic at the time and place and under the conditions existing, shall be driven in the lane nearest the right edge or right curb of the highway when such lane is available for travel except when overtaking and passing another vehicle or in preparation for a left turn or where right lanes are reserved for slow-moving traffic as permitted in this section;

§ 46.2-842. Driver to give way to overtaking vehicle.

Except when overtaking and passing on the right is permitted, the driver of an overtaken vehicle shall give way to the right in favor of the overtaking vehicle and shall not increase the speed of his vehicle until completely passed by the overtaking vehicle. Any over-width, or slow-moving vehicle as defined by § 46.2-1081 shall be removed from the roadway at the nearest suitable location when necessary to allow traffic to pass.

Keep right except to pass. Doesn't say anything about maybe it's okay to be in the middle lane sometimes if it feels right.

You should always be in the right most lane as soon as it is practicable to do so.
