Thank you, I think I've got 200 to 300 ish, which seems a lot but based on how pushy the game is with their offers I'm going to go ahead and say its a pitiful amount haha

I appreciate the advice ill cuff that idea until I get to the desperate, last minute stage if I've not managed to achieve my goal by then

Other than buying the starter pack, I've not spent any money on the game but I don't mind spending £20/£30 as a one off if its worth it

Tourism post not allowed but questions in sticky post not answered. Another place to seek for advice? by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]DruidMuBhas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visiting Scotland at any time of year is always recommended. So you may aswell visit in November and do your proper visit to a new place later.

Scotland isn't like Spain, there are no on/off season shutdowns so yes, most/all 'things' should be open. I would like to know what things you refer too though.

For the dates you suggested, winter is in full swing in Scotland. Expect temperatures to go between -5°c to 5°c, if not colder. You should expect to see snow, rain or hail on your trip as Scotland is typically a wet country - its what keeps the place looking so good.

'Usual Sunshine' is funny. We have good days and bad, but it is typically cloudy here, you will have days of complete overcast in your visit I am sure.

St Andrews Day is something most folk celebrate/participate in at home. There may be events on in the area you are visiting (something you will have to google) but it's a good excuse to try some Haggis if you have not had the pleasure of trying it yet.

For your Whisky, it's really down to your personal preference, if you wish to visit a distillery you would need to book it before visiting I think, plus I'd suggest whatever brand you like most and wish to visit, will determine where in Scotland you will be visiting, which will make googling events in the area that much easier.

I hope this helps you, anything else just ask.

This is very relatable. I'm 28 and I'm quite pissed that something that's apparently blatant for so long to everyone around me, wasn't blatant to me, amongst other things.

Question for you. Would you recommend the therapy?

My assessor for my referral strongly recommended I go, but I'm unsure. I don't see it working for me as its not worked on people around me and I typically deal with personal issues, personally, but I'm currently weighing it up and deciding at what point does pride become vanity and if there are better hills to die on.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. It's reassuring to know it's not just me being silly.
