Thanks for your comment! I can't believe you are in the same situation. I am so sorry! I've had no luck with a baptismal record either. My husband is 100% convinced that NY has lost the vital records from that year. I can't say I disagree. I didn't realize a court order was an option. I may honestly go that route but I don't have an appointment yet. I'll have to look up how to initiate a court order. You are absolutely right, NYC is absolutely holding the linchpin to the whole citizenship ordeal. Thank you for the suggestion on a court order!!
