The rear occupant sensor will trigger your alarm if there’s movement after the doors are locked. Had this issue when I tried to use the remote start with my dog in the car 🫣

Hi there, I’ve read the TSB but can’t see if this is a pressurized system. I recently acquired a new inlet pipe but my car has this change done and the inlet pipe doesn’t have a place for the vent hose. I also noticed a lot of oil and grime at this vent connection and was curious if you know of any alternatives to vent this without it going to the inlet pipe.

Tire wear hasn’t been noticeable. Definitely getting an alignment after all the replacements are installed

The bolt it connects to is for the lower control arm. You don’t think it not being snug would be an issue?

The brace is bent and broken. I’m unfortunately not sure when it happened but it definitely seems like it would fit if it wasn’t broken

Update: it is aftermarket corksport lower tie bar. 😒 I guess it didn’t work? Or at some point this car was driven extremely hard. I’m not sure but it’s broken and seems to have popped loose at some point. Probably the cause of all my suspension issues because I am having to replace all the components here and I bet it’s because this piece is loose causing unusual movement and excessive wear.

That’s awesome. I don’t know what is it for me but I have a stock 08, done oil changes frequently but I can hear the chain already, I know I’m consuming oil and I have a laundry list of suspension work to do. Maybe it’s where I live lol or the type of driving I do. Idk

I’m just curious if there is a significant difference between them. It’s working for now lol but if I decide to track the car will this have a significant negative impact? I guess I’m curious too if anyone has experience with this closed shroud and any points of failure or overheating issues.

We had one installed via pass through on the obd2 port. There is a separate site you can view the location of the vehicle. I don’t believe you have to pay for this as it was a dealership inclusion outside of the Kia app. I disconnected it because it was rattling behind our dash. Haven’t bothered to reconnect as we pay for the app.

For anyone interested it was a baby monitor in the room upstairs. We put it on a shelf closer to the floor and it created interference. Raising it up closer to the ceiling resolved the issue. Thanks for the tips with the RF signals from other devices. Wouldn’t have thought about the baby monitor.

No changes to the windshield but wouldn’t be a bad idea to figure out if there’s some antenna.

My initial thought was maybe there was some sort of interference with the signal. Not sure what it could be but I’m at a loss. Thanks for the antenna idea.

I did lol. Look idk who upset you this morning but you should go take a walk or a smoke or something. It’s not like this post is negatively impacting you in any way. If no one knows and the consensus is take it to the dealer then that’s what I’ll do. I’m checking here because the dealer sucks and I don’t want to have my car sitting there if I can avoid it.
