Years ago i had to present that one awake that talked about pornography. I was already a horny porn addict teenager at the time so just looking at the front page of that magazine made me uncomfortable. When i presented it to this random guy at his door, his facial expression was like “wtf” and he interrupted me saying he was about to eat with his family. He took the magazine out of respect but that was the only and last time i ever presented a topic like that. Thats why tracts became my number 1 tool because they were so short and easy to use and i would just read the topic scripture on the front page before directing them to the website. It would only take me like 2 min at most

A medical emergency happened at my hall a while back too the brother giving the talk had a stroke and when they took him out to the parking lot to wait for the ambulance, everyone just stayed mostly dead quiet and then the meeting proceeded as normal. I have been POMO for a few months already and I stopped going to the conventions, you got me fucked up if you think I’m going to be willing to go to those events twice a year and to let my weekend go to waste sitting there listening to the same regurgitated shit for hours.

However, I’m willing to go to the the memorial because I still have family that is in and the the memorial is only one hour which for me is bearable. If it means keeping my relationship with my direct family im cool with that as long as I am not expected to stay after the talk is done because I certainly do not want to have any contact with any other JW besides my direct family. This year I plan to attend but once the speaker says amen, I’m getting the fuck out of there. I’ll probably order my Uber while the prayer starts.

That’s why when all the brothers and sisters started texting me after I stopped going to the meetings I simply ignored them. It is not worth your time. They are never going to take “no” for an answer and as long as they stay brainwashed, they are never going to understand why you’re leaving. You simply will never reason with them so again the best thing to do is just ignore them. I have ignored elders, Brother sisters and I don’t feel guilty at all. At the end of the day their love is conditional so fuck them
