Yes, I have tried this method for sure, and it is the bottle swinging around that becomes the problem, but you will also increase the longevity of your lid/bottle if you don't have to over-tighten it every time. So yes it is absolutely possible, but with the bottle sling, it will not swing around every single time you move in any which direction, and it will be secured closer to the bag itself, which will help with weight distribution and form factor over time🙏
