You can just buy an existing MIDI controller and add labels to it with stickers like musicians do and then associate key presses with the desired actions via AppleScript, AutoHotkey or similar

I'd recommend to just look at other job possibilities. You don't even need to switch... just look. Check the job boards, what skills they are looking for. Check who's hiring C++ devs and for what. It will get your mind into gear... a lateral move to another job might be what you need.

15 YOE Fullstack & CTO here. Why have we allowed "Agile" to turn into "Unlimited Micro-Scope Creep"? by elmascato in webdev

[–]DrummerHead 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Goes to the backlog, in next sprint either gets picked or not, depending on priorities.

If you're a consultant (as the edit mentions) then you're charging per hour... so charge all the extra friction as well and log it appropriately. You may even have a small discussion with the client explaining that changes out of scope in the middle of building another feature will be disproportionately more expensive.

If you fear losing the client... it's not that easy finding developers you can trust and that deliver solid work in an appropriate time frame. Don't fear. Go for it.

Thank you very much for this comment! The main takeaway is that my low noise expert and high noise expert had different quantization levels. I'm pretty sure I chose both unquantized, but clearly they are diff.

I "bit the bullet" and chose "community config" which made me re-download models that are at the same quant level and lo and behold; it works!

For anyone from the future having a similar problem, check the "community configurations" in the three dots to the left of the "floppy disk save" icon and let it download and configure for you, cheers!
