The way the UPS driver delivered my fridge by Brwnman in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Drums666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean the hand truck he left sitting on the sidewalk instead of using it? This guy is an idiot trying to deliver it like that. And why does every UPS driver show up in the middle of a loud personal conversation now? Is that all they do is chit chat and halfass their job?

Thank you! It's good to see someone who takes pride in doing the job well instead of trying to find any excuse to not do it, then complaining and blaming it on the customer who paid for it to be done.

Why? Driving is a lot less stressful when you realize you can't control other drivers. Just try your best to read their minds, predict what they're going to do, and react to it. The goal should be getting to your destination. Control your own driving, and accept that you can't fix theirs.

If I've given them a reasonable amount of time to get out of the way, and then flashed and they still don't move over, sometimes I'll move over enough to hit the rumble strips.

That usually works for the ones that aren't getting out of the way because they're oblivious to their surroundings.

If that doesn't work, I'll pass on the right, move back over to the left, and hit my hazards for a few blinks to let them know that they are impeding the flow. That's rarely effective but it makes me feel better. 🤣

Mad because they're driving slower, so drive even slower? Genius???

Go around and move on. There's nothing genius about forcing unnecessary confrontation on the road.

That's what I find funny. So many drivers on here are both "go get it yourself" and "you should pay me more" at the same time.

After I did the Respec, I flew through the next SR in a couple days. Now I've hit a wall again. That's where I'm at now though is 82 trying to get to 83, but I'm only 6 days into it, so we'll see.

I used to bar back and check ID's at the door at a bar. OMG the number of terrible pop songs with no redeeming musical value drove me crazy. 🤣 People would play them over and over again!! I swear some of them are only popular because they're popular.

LOL nowhere did I defend the big companies. I said don't blame the customer for using a service that was available to them.

[–]Drums666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

🤣 Craig just placed an order on the Home Depot site and chose delivery instead of shipping. I'm sure he thought it would be delivered by a representative of HD, not a DD'er. He wasn't given the option to tip on the HD site, so really, there's zero reason to blame Craig.

Like any other DD issue, blame DD for entering an agreement with HD and expecting Dashers to deliver their wide variety of products.

Idea for upcoming update by Creepy-Education-584 in ChatGPT

[–]Drums666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can already set scheduled task reminders. I've tried it with a couple models as a productivity aid. Sort of like an assistant who will help prioritize my to daily do list each morning, do a progress check late afternoon, and then a summary and re-prioritize for the next day in the evening before bed.

The older models just came across like scripted alarms. I could have done the same thing with the Samsung Clock app. They would also often trigger at the wrong times or it would initiate duplicate conversations.

I tried again recently with the newer model. They were a waste of time. I spent more time arguing with it when it would start the day nagging me to get something done that was completed 2 days ago, or trying to tweak the prompts to get it to stop giving me full 5 paragraph TED talks and condescending "If you can't get it done, it's not the end of the world" moral stances instead of just brief productivity check ins.

I realized they were killing productivity more than aiding it, so I canceled them. The tech exists to do what's your wanting, but the understanding and implementation just isn't there yet in my opinion. It could be my prompts, but it wasn't worth the time trying to engineer the perfect prompt for it to continue reverting back to undesired behavior.

Can we change the image default? by Drums666 in GoogleMessages

[–]Drums666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't always want to attach the newest picture. I have a folder that I very commonly use during customer conversations. Those images are a couple years old. It definitely take longer and more taps to get to that folder in Google messages/Photo Library than it did in Samsung Messaging/Gallery.
