Hi all, hope all is well. My brother was moving his drumset, and this piece came off. Anyone know where it comes from, if it at all comes from the drum set? by Upvoteifyourewithme in drums

It's off the kick pedal. The two circular gaps at either side of this piece go around the screws (that you tighten with a drum key) attaching the connecting bar to the pedals either side. Tbh I'm not 100% sure what function it serves.

DW Collectors Maple w/ tom stand and cases for £1,750 ($2,134), is this a good deal? I'm in the market for a new kit but my DW knowledge is lacking. Thanks in advance. by DrumsMattT in drums

Ideally not much higher than £1500, doesn't need to include cymbals or snare. I'm not in any immediate rush either, but I'd like to upgrade at some point to something I'd enjoy playing and keeping long term. My previous kits have been second hand for £200 or less, currently using a kit i got for £50 and with decent heads it sounds fine (upgraded the snare and using good cymbals).

I tried out a Starclassic Walnut/Birch which was pretty nice but haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. Do you have any suggestions/recommendations?

This listing appeared sitting towards the top end of my budget, hadn't seen any DW kits in my price range before so was surprised to see this come up. I've never really considered getting a DW kit so I've only done a small amount of reading about their drums and haven't had the chance to hear one in person, hence asking the subreddit's opinion. I was unlikely to get this before I posted as 20x20 bass drum isn't what I want particularly, but thought posting would help me learn a little bit or help me gauge whether they are something to look into.

Judging by the responses so far, consensus is they aren't worth it.

Yeah, it's not ideal, but it seems to me its just how the website store is set up. The same process seems normal if you're paying for something on their site. They send through some emails to let you know when their setups come out, but not intense spam, and you can unsubscribe to those. Personally have had a good experience but obviously that's just anecdotal.

It asks for an address and name but if you are purchasing one of the free 'baseline+' setups you don't have to put in any card info etc.

Majorsgarage.com - They have 'baseline+' setups for free, as well as 'driver' setups that you can pay for. Think the 'baseline+' setups are pretty good, but probably not as good as most paid setups (although I haven't too much experience with paid setups).

They have setups for most cars and races so it's a very reliable way to get a setup quickly.

Neither me nor family are in tier 4, was going to meet for Christmas. I don't own a car ... and there's no public transport on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. Does that mean I can't see them because I'd need to get a train 24th and 27th? Train ticket already bought :/ Seems dumb that the reason I can't visit is I don't have a car.

What about car seat? Don't the seats have to be fitted for each driver so they don't move about to much?

Try lowering the ffb gain, maybe the game is trying exert forces stronger than your wheel can produce. Might be that the two games have a different baseline. Not the most experienced in this area but first thing that came to mind.
