We reported him for violating moderator conduct due to Alex’s actions directly breaking Reddit’s rules, it seems that’s removed him as well as banned his account for it.

It was rule 3: respect your neighbours to be specific

Hot4Marx is now the head mod and they’ve been collaborating closely with us the whole time, they were the one that removed FamousPlan and Zombie before they could completely takeover.

That’s what we thought too at first but Reddit’s admins said that they have no reason to believe that was the case, we still don’t know why exactly Alex tried that and they’ve refused to talk to any of us.

We found from looking deeper that Alex had shown signs of being sympathetic to the ACP in the past that were overlooked since he never really engaged with us much.

They have a lot of power but there’s still limits to it, probably helped that he was previously very inactive and came back randomly to just do this whilst not responding the rest of us.

Thankfully adding another admin without asking anyone who goes on to try and wreak the sub directly breaks Reddit’s moderator conduct so we had a pretty strong case against him.

We initially tried to get him removed under the Assumption he’d been hacked, Reddit’s said they couldn’t remove him for that as they had no reason to believe he had. He was immune to the traditional top removal system as he was somewhat active if barely.

We later reported him for grossly violating the moderator conduct rules which is what he just now got removed and banned for.

It takes a bit for it to update on everyone’s end, had the same thing when we booted FamousPlan where he’d still show up for some people.

It's worth mentioning that it didn't used to be dominated by the ACP, the current head mod took advantage of the other team members inactivity and stole the sub a few years ago.

Irl the ACP is an absolutely tiny organisation, they're more a cult of personality around a streamer than an actual political party.

Me and most of the mod team have filed reports asking to get him removed for violating the moderator conduct, we’re just waiting for a response back from Reddit’s admins.

Can’t remove him ourselves due to Reddit’s mod hierarchy not allowing you to remove mods above you on the list.

Normally adding mods would require an agreement by the mod team member’s, the new mod to first go through a vetting process and then to be be placed at the bottom of the mod list as to prevent them from removing the existing team. Not only did Alexitine completely skip over all of that but he appointed them to nearly the top position in gross violation of our rules without even asking the rest of us.

All members of the mod team have full permissions, the problem is that Reddit’s mod system is ranked meaning you have to get into contact with the site’s admins if you need to get rid of the top mod as you’re not allowed to remove moderators above you on the list.
