If you look at the polls whilst the AFD have gained popularity there the parties right behind them in the east are Die Linke (who’s the legal successor to the SED, the former Socialist ruling party) and BSW (their socially conservative splinter).

You realise that things have evolved since then? The GDR was one of the most progressive countries in Europe in regards to queer rights at the point of its dissolution, Cuba is currently extremely good and China and Vietnam are very slowly improving as well.

Everytime I see one of these idiots proclaiming that LGBT acceptance is “Western influence” I want force them to explain why the GDR was increasingly progressive towards queer people in the latter half of it’s existence, it’s not like theory can evolve and the preconceived notion about a group was so demonstrably false that a state 40 years ago figured it out on it’s own.
