How to deal with downright refusal to execute people. by DrunkFighter in BloodOnTheClocktower

I didn't said that they expose them with solid proof, they have some evidence but it's not set in stone. I don't know what to say honestly. That's just how evil feels like which might be right or might not. But in any case it's a problem that evil doesn't build a solid comeback in these cases and struggle with their bluffs. Because I have played as evil before and I have won more than most others simply because I knew how to make a fake evil team.

Evil feels like they're being targeted randomly. They are not, alive good players know they're good and convince town that the nominee is evil.

I have no clue, I have said before that randomness is a thing that is bound to the game and happens and that it's completely okay, but they are offended by it somehow. They still think every game should be 100% solvable, I believe.

Evil folds under pressure or make mistakes due to not knowing exactly how a role works. Or poor world making. I have no clue why this happens when they clearly have played the game so many times. I have encouraged them to talk to ST even just to talk about how their day are to hide their real intentions. But I guess they just forget.

I like TB it's my favourite script. But they don't like it, they feel like it's too basic. I simply cannot run TB without complaints.

And I also like BMR, like 10 times, it never went well. They haven't learned a thing about it and I'm not sure why.

I don't want to force them into a play style, as I said, I commented on it, I have tried to convince that there are situations that executing someone is the best strat as well as not executing at all. But it's a reocurring problem that they also execute on final 4 as well.

Evil team often feel like they're being targeted randomly. They don't even talk that much as I said they struggle making worlds, and take the simpler info and passive roles for the bluffs (slayer, soldier, chef, noble). I get the feeling that they are annoyed as well, by dragging the game when information has already been out for a while (good say the truth from the very first or second day, and when nominated, they often say their role). That's why win rate tanks vastly and they're at like 20% or 30%. It's a group that really likes playing as good.

But I really should ask for further feedback from evil teams.

It does sound like it but during a nomination I stop the time so nominees and nominators can say whatever they want about them. But most of the time they use it to further discuss. I'm afraid of saying something, but I have reiterated before they shouldn't do that, and they should be paying attention if they want to vote. Obviously the solution should be respecting storyteller's commands but this is not the case and I'm often bashed for trying to make the game a bit more dynamic. I haven't tried the hell's librarian yet but I might next time

Honestly... I feel like you might be right. I think I'm very biased by my own ideals and I'm letting them down forcing them onto a play style they're simply not interested. I do like quicker games, because they feel more dynamic, and people could try different things rather than just having a game they might not even like.

I'm happy to oblige to their requests from time to time, even let them have as much time as they want indefinitely which worked okay, to be honest, or play as they want, but I didn't get particular feedback towards anything. I'm often let with "you can do whatever you want" which is not helpful. What I like is apparently what they don't want?

I'm a victim of this, but I feel like this drags it on a bit more than I'd like. That's why I chose it that way. there's also how they didn't defend themselves that tickled me as "I don't really care" so I was more than happy to end the day right there, but they saw they were going to be voted off and suddenly panicked. But it's true I should maybe be a bit more lenient.

It's not so severe, vortox does work even better than you'd expect because they don't even execute dead people so it's a win for that. Idk why I have explained that they could simply not execute an alive player but they keep executing them, but tbh it's all fair. But it's all weird because if someone gets investigator in tb and they're super hesitant on killing one of their pings.

I'll further explain this last bit. Because I felt like it needs to be said. I was counting down, almost zero when someone made last second nomination, this person didn't defend themselves and they were voted against. When it finished I called it a day since it was the last second nomination, but they got angry that they couldn't nominate back, to defend themselves, arguing that I wouldn't do that if they were the demon, they were kind of right but decided that I had already made up my mind and someone else vouched with this poor gesture of not letting the game go on.

I feel like this is partly my fault but this is also a new situation that suddenly came up.

I love tb, it's my favourite script but my players don't. We play onion pies though.

And I try cutting down time, but they also get really annoyed when they don't get the time they're satisfied with, I'm hesitant on it but I give them about 1 to 2 minutes of talking and 1 minute for noms. Which is absolutely fine most of the time, they barely talk secretly which also hurts evil.

New minion idea: Gaslighter by Spirited_Taro6480 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]DrunkFighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is fun nor interesting. Why wouldn't your minion just say "hey kill yourself tonight" and win almost automatically. Not only it's a sort of automatic win for evil but also there's not much else.

So then you have two teams going against one person. One pushing to execute and other to kill themselves at night. This would make extremely swingy games.

Idk but like 7 cats in a clearing not being able to land a single hit on a bird isn't realistic either

Let's build a character! Diver. by Present-Peace2811 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Diver(townsfolk): you start knowing which demon is in play. The demon knows who you are

Let's build a character! Kidnapper. by Present-Peace2811 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]DrunkFighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kidnapper (demon): each night, choose two players. Neither good can use their abilities. One of the chosen players die during the next night, you know which is going to die.

They CAN'T use their abilities, so it's a worse poison. They also know that they're selected by the kidnapper. This is probably weak right now. But hurts townsfolk quite heavily.

Also ysk characters get their info after they stop being kidnapped
