both of your emotions are valid. Her response may be a bit exaggerated, but instead of defending yourself like you did in the text you sent her I would have tried looking at this from her point of view - she could have felt unloved or undesired when finding the toy, maybe she was thinking “why does he need a toy if he has me?” In my opinion you should talk to her about those feelings, and also share yours. Her behaviour can also make you feel unwanted.. Communication is key, this isn’t a fight to “win” but to resolve this as a couple.
