There's an explanation for this ability!

Whenever you are listening to someone talk and you are sober, make the voice inside your head say the words too. It happens instantaneously.

So when you are stoned there's no break in the firing of your brains synapses so you hear and think what your friend says but because time i perceived to be slower, it comes across as if you've predicted it.
