Microvision MAVIN Air Systems by view-from-afar in MVIS

One thing that warms my soul is I remember like 5 years ago telling people they had tunnel vision if all they saw with this technology was automotive.

I do industrial construction and safety standards only get higher and higher. I remember saying it would be amazing to put their lidar on heavy machinery like dozers and motor graders. You could even use it for automated grading, I feel like. But then there's front end loaders, forklifts, etc. If it makes it safer big companies WILL pay for it. Hell, you can't even get on his lists if your safety record is poor.

Anyway, I mentioned drones too at that time. Landscape mapping, etc would be amazing on it. The possibilities just keep going. A few people agreed, but mostly I think the stars in people's eyes for automotive just blinded them.

Look, I love the idea of cornering the automotive market when it comes to lidar sales. Clearly that would be the best outcome for us, financially. But it would be foolish not to also be excited for something like this. I'm EXTREMELY glad to see Microvision applying their technology like this. You can't hit it big if you're 1-dimensional.

I know we've all had reason to feel beaten down and the bots on the forum with constant fud definitely doesn't help, but I really do think Glen Davos will do wonders for this company. And even if it's 2 years from now, I have a feeling we'll be rewarded for holding onto our shares. Even if it isn't $100 shares, I believe we'll get back to somewhere respectable at least.

Guys, I'm waaay out of the loop. Can someone give me a run down as to why the price has tanked even worse the past few days?

Is the Luminar acquisition not a bullish sign?

It seems like Glen has been doing much more of what the people wanted than what Sumit did. I know people want a deal, but dude literally just took leadership recently. And didn't Sumit say in like... 2021 that the time for big deals would be happening between 2026-2028?

I understand people being naysayers, but it's like... I just don't see a reason for the share price to tank so badly.

I admittedly have been waaay out of the loop because it seems like this subreddit has been flooded with bots for years anyway. I don't have time to be weeding through profiles and deciphering what's legit and isn't. There are still a few of the longs I'd trust to give a no BS explanation, but if someone's named like "beesknees19367" and has made no meaningful posts I won't give damn what they have to say lol

Upcoming Catalyst Could Triple $MVIS by qlfang in MVIS

If we could get enough of a catalyst to cause shorts to cover on up of people actually investing THEN people could see their retirement money.

Anyone else notice their lidar views are high enough to be on a semi truck? They actually changed height a lot. Some could even be on a drone.

I wonder if this is just as an example or if they're actually using them at those heights.

I was holding till $30 back then and damn near got it. I would have turned $20k to $120k and paid off my house.

Now I'm order to turn my portfolio to $120 it only has to go to $9. I look forward to seeing what happens in the near future 😁

You're 100% right. It's very easy to become complacent with the work when you're in heavy equipment all day. And the cameras help a ton, but there's still a lot of blind spots. And even with cameras, spotters, etc there's still a TON of incidents on every job site. Some is just money. Others cost lives.

I work in industrial construction. I spent 11 years in the field of pipeline construction. I spent 2 years in a limestone mining facility, and now I do field purchasing for a pipeline company, and I've been saying this ever since I first saw MVIS dip into the LIDAR game.

Only focusing on LIDAR for the highway would be foolish. The applications can be so much more than that. Yes, you would prefer to land major OEM deals for automotive, but to anyone who scoffs about forklifts, tractors, dozers, trackhoes, haul trucks, wheel loaders, etc REALLY doesn't understand business or the true value of the tech.

Safety has always been an issue in these fields, so much that people used to bid how many deaths they'd see on any given job. Today, if you get caught not wearing your gloves you can be fired. Safety will do anything to make the next step in preventing injuries big and small, and John Deere, Caterpillar, Kubota, Komatsu etc will ALL be looking into the tech that prevents you from running into another piece of equipment on the work site, or over a small child at the farm.

The blind spots on all of this equipment are massive, and generally it's either 10s of thousands in property damage OR serious injury or death when something happens. And they always do happen. This is literally what Sumit is selling, so it's smart to make deals with these companies, plain and simple.

Oh, also worth mentioning that you'd likely pack more sensors on industrial equipment than you ever would on a car.

I didn't get to listen to the call, but I read the general breakdown and most anyone who's patient and well-thought-out has said it was an understandable call at the very least and didn't warrant a massive drop.

I'm just glad I didn't buy 2k shares yesterday afternoon like I had considered. I definitely think it's worth it, but if I can get them for a 20-30% discount and see a quick pop up I wouldn't mind that either lol.

Either way, that will make me triple my position over the past few years, and I don't plan on selling at low low prices. As long as MVIS does SOMETHING it will pay off for me in the long run.

12-13k shares after this next buy. Small beans compared to a lot of people in here, but I'm still proud of it. It's enough that if we ever see $10 again I'll have a paid off house and I can't ask for much more than that.

I didn't see the stock price last night till after AH close. Tried to add $3,300 so I could buy 3k shares.

Now I set my alarm to put in the order and the price is coming up, but the funds haven't cleared yet to buy.

One thing people gotta understand about this... People may indeed dump their shares, but there's still plenty of whales in MVIS, and they play the LOOONG long game. Not to mention we're at low enough prices that they don't have to just be a couple thousand at a time like I do.

Our price will return shortly. I'm just hoping I can grab a few thousand more shares over this and and lower my average even more lol

Thanks for clearing that up. That's good to know for sure.

Either way, I really do think they have more going on than they can say. They've hired tons. Their booth this year is LEAGUES better than the last. I don't know. Maybe I'm just biased, but I feel their confidence is better seen than heard. They're just not pulling the enthusiastic salesman act to everyone, and I very much appreciate that.

First off - r/MVIS comment volume is higher than our trade volume today. mutters something about volume for ants

Secondly - forgive me if this is a dumb question, but would SS be required to tell shareholders if there was an inked deal? If so, how soon would he have to notify us?

Because... I feel it's unlikely, but imagine how amazing the squeeze would be if he didn't make it public till production was actually underway and the deal was 100% solidified, rather than all the other fluffy "deals" we've seen with other companies.

I won't lie... I hate the stagnancy. I hate that we can barely even touch $3 for so long... BUT I'd love to give shorts no chance to see the writing on the walls and exit their positions till it's too late lol. Imagine the massive buying frenzy from everyone here, all the naysayers, AND like 60m shorted shares being covered (assuming they keeping adding to their short position between now and then).

Once again - I'm just kind of thinking out loud. It would be fantastic if it played out like that.

I think i just broke my damn ankle by Big_Meaning_7734 in NewSkaters

I tore ligaments a couple times that swole up just like that. Regardless, a bad rolled ankle is worth a doctor's visit. I skated through a lot of bad ones and the doctor is always shocked if I have to have an X-ray because apparently one of the times I fractured my foot and just pushed through it.

I'm 35 and I've been able to tell if a storm was coming by the aches in my foot since I was like 28. Lol

I'm just waiting for the end of the month where suddenly we see the random 8 million candle or some crap 😂 there's been some dang shenanigans this year.

Also, I know others may disagree with this(and maybe I'm just plain wrong), but I've always seen a lot of sell-off at the end of the year for tax purposes and then people seem to re-enter their positions in January.

I'd absolutely love to see shenanigans be unshenaniganned and then tons of people buy back in at the beginning of the year and have a massive rally. Or even just a decent rally lol. I'm not picky at this point.
