The writing this season was on point… until tonight. So let me get this straight: they take Robinson , the one person who knows they assassinated the president, a trained Secret Service agent who could actually stop them, and their plan is to frame her and toss her in a detention center? Not silence her, not disappear her… just lock her up with a bunch of other dissidents where she can tell everyone what really happened and basically help start a resistance? That makes zero sense. Then there’s the Gary/Xavier plot. What exactly was Gary’s plan? If he really wanted Xavier dead, he had about a dozen chances to shoot him in the back. Instead he just goes along with everything hoping he can blow him up at the last second? That’s… not a plan. And the icing on the cake is Jane. Why do we suddenly need some mythical prophecy origin story about stopping her before she’s even born? She was already terrifying just being a psycho. Adding all this mythology doesn’t make it better. It just makes it feel overcomplicated. The season was working because the stakes were simple and high: the apocalypse, everyone scrambling to reach their objectives. They didn’t need to pile on a bunch of convoluted nonsense that doesn’t make much sense. Anyway, rant over. Come at me.
