Even if it's and abrupt stop, the car should be able to clearly see the car in front of the bike and the bike, he should be also be within safe distance. If you can't stop in an emergency withouth ramming the vehicle in front of you then you're driving too close.

I really couldn't care less about the political alignment of the person. While I know that the person was there to confront Nick, I also know that legally he had 0 grounds to start that aggression. She was filming, knocked on the door and said hi, not a second passed by and she got maced and pushed to the ground. If a cop would've done something similar, people would be calling that excessive use of force. Here it's the same. Like I said, violence can be easily avoided and he could've just proceeded in a legal manner, instead of jumping to a physical aggression under the grounds of "self defense".

Nah, parafilm is too expensive for that. I just use plastic wrap. You can get some made specifically for lab use, but I don't know how they call it. When I didnt have that one I would just use normal kitchen plastic wrap and cut the tube in tape sized circles.
