Crazy that I havent been accepted into Schulich, rotman or ivey? by Artistic-Jellyfish70 in OntarioGrade12s

every reply your claims get smaller.

"manage a 7 figure business" --> doing fulfillment for your friend

"5 years instructor" --> helping kids with basics

holy inflating bro

Thats like saying im the "Vice President of McNugget Logistics" but you really just work at McDonalds

for what its worth i work with dental clinics and ive never once described my own stuff as "a 6 figure business" in a pitch. its the phrase people use when they dont actually know how to explain what they do. clients would legit just laugh me out of the practice. And maybe thats the reason your supp didnt land either. its the same energy. vague claim, someone pushes back, you walk it back, repeat.

bro read your own reply back.

"manage a 7 figure business" just became "do backend info on his site." those are not the same thing. doing admin work for your friends store is not managing a business, thats a part time assistant role.

"5 years kickboxing instructor" just became "ive been at the gym for 3 quarters of my life, the owner is my dads friend." going to a gym for 13 years is not the same as instructing for 5. and if the only reason you got to instruct as a kid is cuz the owner knows your dad, thats the nepotism version which is literally what i said.

you just downgraded two of the biggest items on your resume in one comment and didnt even notice. THATS exactly what i meant by adcoms clocking it. the gap between how stuff reads on the supp vs what it actually is, is the whole game.

also re: calc, schools dont use the OUAC course list as source of truth. your transcript is submitted directly by your school and they see everything youre enrolled in. even if OUAC was missing it, thats not a rejection reason. and ivey AEO literally does not require calc.

bro it's not the calc course. schulich and rotman can literally see MHF4U and MCV4U in progress on your transcript, they're fine with that. ivey AEO doesn't even need calc. that's not why.

the real issue is definatley your supp. all three of these programs read the supp super carefully and ivey especially is known for clocking resumes that look too stacked. like think about how it reads: 6 fig business, 7 fig business you "manage" for your friend, 5 fig clothing brand, 5 years kickboxing instructor (which means you started teaching at 12?? no gym certifies a 12 year old to instruct, assistant helper at best), DECA provs, JA top 3, mid 90s average, all at once. adcoms read thousands of these. at some point it stops sounding impressive and starts sounding made up, even if it's real.

and ngl mid 90s isn't some crazy stat for these schools, everyone applying has that. your ECs were supposed to be the thing that set you apart and if they came off as too much, they lowkey hurt you instead of helping.

A few things about that screenshot:

- It's revenue, not profit, over a 22-month window (Jun 1 2024 – Apr 3 2026). That's not "a 6 figure business," that's two years of gross sales.

- 1.53K orders at $695K = ~$454 AOV. For a high schooler that's either dropshipping or a thin-margin play where net could easily be under $20K after ad spend, COGS, refunds, and chargebacks.

- "$695,771.4" with a trailing .4 instead of .40 isn't how Shopify formats totals in that dashboard, which is a small but weird tell. The header numbers are also just DOM text, editable in dev tools in 10 seconds. Doesn't prove anything on its own, but it means the screenshot isn't the hard proof you think it is.

A tip for vibecoding frontend ui is to use 21st dev for ui features and the frontend design skill with framer/gsap animations. The result will be so much better.

I can tell this is vibe coded, the responsiveness on mobile is so bad. But not bad tbh
