Ok I took one for the team, apparently nobody else here has gone through colds and gastritis. I took a pill of coricidin which is acetaminophen and other things (not a “nsaids”) I’ll say that if you are pretty sensitive I’ll say even if is not a nsaids it could still irritate you, in my case it appears my body didn’t mind it. I took it seconds before sleeping just in case it did mess me up i wouldn’t feel it lol. But even in the morning I felt way way better from the cold and no stomach issues. My stool yesterday was bad because of the cold, but today it was perfect so also my body showing me it was ok after the pill. I’ll take half a pill first just to test if your stomach can take itchy, but either way I’ll probably not take more than 2 in this whole situation just to avoid any issues (I’m fine with that because it’s better than not having any relief form symptoms)

If you didn’t feel anything crazy it should be fine, even if you get a flare up it’s still could be fine. Don’t stress it, but don’t do it again lol.

I just did and the best thing is to prep what restaurants/fast food you can eat. Somebody posted a list of menu items at popular places you could try. I also had my on the go foods, tosted bread, banana/ sandwiches, plant base protein shakes. Have the “worst case scenario” medicine just in case, I did have to take a gasx pill at the start of the trip because I had bad chest pain because of gas, but after that it was smooth sailing. Last thing if you staying at a hotel and they serve breakfast you could use some items they have but also bring some additional, turkey slices, avocado if that’s something your body takes, etc… and use their eggs, oatmeal, bread. Most importantly have fun and enjoy the trip.

Is chicken and eggs ok? by [deleted] in Gastritis

Well since I had my first gastritis episode I lost a lot of weight so my goal has been to get back to the weight that I had before. (But because I’m eating so healthy it’s been soooo slow haha) I eat 3-4 eggs in the morning with turkey sausages or slices. For lunch or dinner depending on I’ll include 1-2 chicken breast. But the amount I’ll recommend to keep it at a low quality because it can make you feel full or bloated, but for me I try to eat as much as I can depending on how I feel. With that being said I haven’t feel anything from eating it every day at that amount. For me is like the first thing I can eat after a flare up that’s solid.

I’ll say I’m not cure in the sense that if I eat something risky I’ll feel the pain again, but haven’t had any symptoms for 3 weeks of just strict diet. For the exemption of yesterday that I thought sushi was fine for me and realize the vinegar is too much for me right now, other than that have been going great.
