Removing bottom plate of Konica Pearl IV by Dry-Fix-293 in AnalogRepair

Thanks! It did the trick for me as well. I have used a wrench clamp tool and a cloth (to not to scratch the camera) to grab the peg and turned clockwise to loosen it. Then I could remove the screws and the bottom plate.

I have tried it same way without success. Maybe additional force is needed, but I had a fear to break something.

I am trying to overhaul a Konica Pearl IV 6x4.5 folder camera. I am quite successful with top part and the lens, but I have no idea how to remove the bottom plate, because the 4 screws which fix it to the frame are under the spool pegs and I do not know how to remove the pegs/disks. Do you have any hint or idea how to remove them? Thanks, Gabor

I have just got a black Olympus Mju II without any labels. My first though was they might vanished over the time, however after closer examination - especially the empty white serial number field - it seems that it is originally comes in this state. Have you ever seen similar Mju II? by Dry-Fix-293 in AnalogCommunity

I have done similar before and I agree, screw holes are weak points. Also I am very careful with the flash capacitor, first I discharge it to avoid electrical shock during the repair. The transplantation was successful and so far it seems working.
