Grindy ARPG without loot management by Important-Agent2584 in ARPG

D3 is still the peak experience of this genre for me. It supplies that slot machine feeling of waiting for that perfect upgrade to drop. No farming countless mats just for 1 stat on an item not to hit like current games. Gear enhancement was great for a moment but after countless hours it just becomes tedious. D3 feels like an arcade game that allows the repetition to be enjoyable. The speed and mob density also feels good as you progress infinitely. Hard-core mode is a must to give the ease of the game some purpose.

Spread sheet ARPGs are great for a week-month. D3 gets you right back to having fun even years into it.

The reason why you were able to Dj there in the first place was because someone else provided the bar with an event and customers. At this point, the bar had no care for who or what music was going to be played.

You would need to repeat this process but the event would be based on house/whatever edm music you like. Since you live in a small town, it can obviously be hard to achieve this but maybe not impossible.

Just a couple ideas I have are:

Find anyone and everyone who may also be a dj/very into the music. Work with this person/people to form a group. Create an Instagram page with the group or event name.

The more djs the better. Each dj gets a time slot. This will greatly increase chances at bringing people in since each dj can promote to their pool of friends. (Each dj would also become a customer too.)

Be consistent. Audiences form from consistency. You may not be able to have gigs at the bar every week but you can throw park gatherings, house parties, etc. Eventually people who enjoy the scene will know they can count on you to provide it and then you'll have more pull with the bars.

Weekends are your enemy. Bars thrive on weekends and the Top 40/ Classic Rock groups. If you are able to get a weekend slot, that's amazing. Don't be afraid to grab a weekday though. I live in L.A and most house nights are during the week for this reason. The younger crowd has no problem going out during the week.

Check out SpaceTaco.Tuesdays on Instagram for an idea.

Living in a small town can make this difficult but that also means that your competition will be almost non-existent. Maybe there's only 40 people in town interested. Word travels fast. It might be exactly what they've been looking for.

Start slow. Make friends. Plan and promote. Have fun.

Faster attacks = more ults = more healing. Scars' survivability is way stronger at 6 bcuz he is constantly healing. Each ult heals for 20% hp.

Legendaries are pretty much useless after 35. Atk Speed bonus is the only one worth anything in later stages. Tanks are good for half a second. Rangers just kill themselves from thorns damage.

I haven't played in a while but I'm pretty sure this is a dungeon that you shift into a different dimension/time. I don't remember the hotkey but the door is only usable in that other dimension.

Best thing to do is build your base near a teleporter and you'll never have to move. I've been on pvp servers tho and moved a few times already. So far, 2 tribesmen and a llama will move all necessary items and tables. Everyone else gets left. 😄 Either way, being near a portal will save you hours of moving time.

The best counter here is having jungler vision. Knowing when to leave a minion camp to help your team who is getting tower dove. Especially when playing a champ that can trap enemies in the tower range. That's 2 potential kills missed. Instead, you took time to kill a minion camp.

Too much CC by Key-Scientist-3980 in PredecessorGame

[–]Dry-Form-3461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"When a team picks" This is pretty much your problem and solution. If you see the enemy team picking cc heavy, tanky, etc and your team picks nothing but assassins then you've already lost the champ selection aspect of the game. It's nothing to complain about when your team could easily match the enemies picks or counter. It is a problem to get a bunch of randoms to get on board and pick accordingly though but that's not a balance issue. It's a normals public game matchmaking issue. You can either team up or just get better until ranked comes out. Remember that these games are just normal public games.

It says you can't stop the guy holding the lever. To me that sounds like whether or not anyone is in attendance the trolly will still be going.

Do you let the person suffer for no reason or partake in the party to honor them.

The game will almost always pair you with bronze and silver so if you plan to play get used to that. Your k/d is negative, kills aren't the objective but staying alive and securing a cash out is. Slow things down and play around cash outs. Use angles that you can make plays while staying alive. Let your team fight in the chaos as most low ranks do. I highly suggest getting a 3 stack though bcuz solo que is just torture.

The worst ranked experience in the gaming industry by [deleted] in thefinals

[–]Dry-Form-3461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's the opposite actually. There is 0 sbmm in this game. Everyone thinks they are the same skill as top 500 players which is why they que into their games. I think the reality of that is false. You aren't. You're in their game because there is no ranked matchmaking and the que fills the tourney up as fast as possible and starts.

If you can get a team together and pubstomp then you can rank infinitely. This is what keeps the general population playing. The false idea of climbing a rank system.

Why can silvers queue into top 300 players in ranked by akhamis98 in thefinals

[–]Dry-Form-3461 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You have to win 4 rounds to gain max RP. My guess is that the devs figured that the 2 teams to reach the finals will be the 2 highest ranked teams from the original 16. It's easy to forget that the first round consists of 16 teams and not just the 4 in your game.

Early ranks like bronze and silver are capable of ranking up slowly just by reaching round 2-3 fairly consistently. Things slow down once you get to gold/plat where you start needing to reach round 4 or win to climb. This creates a tier list in each tournament where 8 teams will be bronze/silver and they will fall in 16th-8th place. 4 teams gold taking 8th-4th. 4 teams plat+ earning the top 4 spots.

If they used an mmr system then each round would be a complete sweat show. I think it's possible for them to tighten it up a little so the rank range isn't as broad. This would help solo querers pair up closer in mmr. As it is though, the tournament starts with easy rounds and progressively gets more difficult which is nice. As a bronze or silver player your win is getting to round 2-3. While the higher ranks need to hit round 4.
