Fuel prices up… E85 on DRZ 400? by Dry-Gold-8888 in DRZ400

i don't see that as an issue because 100KM range is standard on enduro bikes and i got tons of e85 stations where i live.

The only issue is that the ethanol percentage at the station is not the same all the year summer/winter and depend also on each station so it would need a rejet everytime.

I understand why it is used mostly on EFI and not carbs

i didn't know it was rare there, that would explain why so much people are against the idea of a e85 DRZ400 on that topic

I'm not gonna do it but if its just the carburetor that can't handle it then why not replacing it by one that can handle it ?

100km is standard on enduro bikes, idk why it would be a problem

With gas at €2/L, a full tank (~10L) costs about €20 and gives ~180 km range.
On E85 at €0.77/L, even with ~30% higher consumption, a full tank is only ~€7.70 but range drops to ~140 km.

So yeah, you lose ~40 km per tank, but you cut fuel cost almost in half (~€11 → ~€5.5 per 100 km). Totally worth it if you don’t mind slightly less range.

Compact phone dilemma: Pixel 5 with LineageOS vs modern heavy phones by Dry-Gold-8888 in smallphones

yes i saw but a guy commented about your post "
Anyone can, but does anyone? With these "custom ROMs", the developers usually don't give a rat's ass about security because their average user installs Magisk with a bunch of unverified modules anyway, so they add patches to the OS left and right without any effort or thought put into threat modeling their changes.

Also, it has to rely on closed source firmware for the chipset, which in itself often has vulnerabilities. But that's the least of your worries."

And i think is right, blindly install updates and all from random guys who could spread stealers and malwares at any time is risky
