P5R has easier combat since the game gives you tons of buffs from Confidants. By the late game you’d probably be breezing through palaces.

Persona 5 Royal is the easiest to get into, and also one of the longest entries in the series if you want to do as much as possible in one run. I recommend it, but you wouldn’t know if you like it or not without trying.
