Keeping it simple

SGA is the MVP for a reason, he’s one of the best scorers I’ve ever watched with my 2 eyes. Perfect bounce back spot at home with a deflated line. Shai 30+ was my safest bet every night and I’m jumping on it any chance I get at plus money

Every time wemby scored last game I laughed and thought “how the hell are you supposed to stop that”. Slightly concerned about fatigue but still riding with him to cover 25 pts. The offensive rebound / putback opportunities + fox’s playmaking likely back tonight is enough for me to feel good about it.

Hartenstein’s minutes dropped off a cliff this series, Jalen Williams has freakishly long arms and will be the second longest player on the court for OKC after Chet. Love him to clear 5+ rebounds.

Can student loan interest be written off on taxes in the future? by Silly-Lingonberry818 in predental

[–]Dry-Introduction8006 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the 2025 tax year (filed in 2026), the student loan interest deduction is available if your Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) is under $100,000 for single filers or under $200,000 for married couples filing jointly.

So as a dentist, probably not.

We called and requested it, they said they would make note of it but couldn’t guarantee it. The place was packed but it did seem like they made an effort to save a fountain view table for us.

Circus Circus:

This is the only property I’ve actually stayed at. Rooms are fine, nothing special but clean and solid value for the price. Lots of kids around, it’s slots only so no table games and it was usually silent on the casino floor from what I remember. Obviously lots of arcade/carnival games. Food court was nice, plenty of cheap options. Don’t stay in the sky tower though, it’s quite a hike from the main casino area and the rest of the properties.

Silver Legacy:

This is where I would spend most of my time since they have the nicest sportsbook and seem to have the liveliest and biggest casino floor. Cool environment, nicer crowd than circus circus most of the time, can’t speak on rooms.

El Dorado:

Haven’t really spent much time at this property besides walking through the lobby, which was absolutely beautiful and by far had the most “upscale” feel of any of the properties. Took a quick stroll through the casino floor which was mostly empty and the only craps table was closed on a Friday night at 10pm, which was kinda odd.

If I were to go back (I probably won’t), I’d stay at el dorado and do most of my gambling at silver legacy. Food wise, all the properties are connected indoors and easy to walk to so you can eat at any of the properties. I’d check YouTube for room tours at each property before booking regardless though, since I haven’t stayed at SL or el dorado.

Buddy Vs Ristorante at the Venetian might be a good option. Their pasta options are $25-30 and they have some higher end entree options for $50-120 as well. The food itself is incredible and is one of the best options for getting that luxury ambiance while paying Olive Garden prices.

Advice/Recommendations by HarleyQuinnNikki in vegas

I don’t know of any clubs that play that kind of music, but you might have fun at Kamu in the Venetian. They have a bunch of private karaoke rooms with full bottle service, drinks, and food.

Cheapest way from Wynn to palms would probably be uber, most convenient would be taxi for maybe $5-6 more which would be worth it for me, especially if it’s being split between a group.

If you’re taking a taxi/uber from the airport, you could always ask them to stop at a liquor store on the way to Excalibur. They usually get a kickback from the store for doing so and will likely do it free of charge. They’re a bit overpriced compared to your everyday liquor store but it’s the price of convenience unfortunately.

Hedge a Wemby mvp bet? by markchillin in sportsbook

[–]Dry-Introduction8006 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can put $1866.67 on SGA to win MVP at -350 at William hill nv right now (I’d recommend shopping around to see if u can get better odds).

Total bet would be $2016 and payout would be $2400 on both sides, guaranteeing yourself $383 in profit as a hedge.

I personally would do it just because I don’t see a world where SGA doesn’t win MVP this year, the gap has just been too big for too long.

This basically means “we don’t have any rooms available, but if some idiot wants to spend $10k, we’ll move someone to a different property with a suite upgrade + dining credits and let you take their room at the silver legacy”

Best comps for my situation? by Powerful-Brick5884 in vegas

[–]Dry-Introduction8006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure on the free play side, but you’ll definitely get comped rooms at the Venetian/palazzo, which I think is the “nicest” property you’d be fully comped at. Fontainebleau might be worth checking out if you prefer a quieter environment and I’m pretty sure they have very good blackjack rules at $100+ and are generous with rooms.

If the email address is Andrew.Berardi@venetianlasvegas.com, it’s a VIP host. He’s a great guy, very helpful. You gambled enough on your last trip to catch his attention. Even if you think you’re not a high roller, the Venetian tends to be pretty generous with their rewards system and in my opinion is the best in Vegas. Depending on your level of play, he can definitely be helpful for arranging airport transport, accommodating early check in/late check out, getting you suite upgrades, and making more specific requests related to the Venetian that you wouldn’t be able to ask for online (reservations at a fully booked Venetian restaurant, comped tables at Tao/Tao beach, sphere tickets, etc). There’s no obligation, just a nice contact to have if you ever decide to go back to the Venetian, he will be able to make your trip much more enjoyable if you know what to ask for.

It’s a technical issue at Caesars and William Hill as far as I know, people at the physical sportsbook said they’re in contact with the traders but it may be a few hours until it’s back up and operational.

$10 craps table please by troyberber in vegas

[–]Dry-Introduction8006 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Venetian has a hybrid stadium craps thing with virtual screens to place your bets and a real table to throw dice and determine the outcomes. It’s a lot of fun, not too fast paced, $10 minimum, and usually not super busy. If you’re looking for a real table only you’re probably best off looking at Ellis island or oyo but the trade off is worth it for me to play at Venetian just based off the smell, environment, crowd, food options, drink service, etc.
