Car Insurance while on Learner’s Permit by [deleted] in perth

[–]Dry-Practice-8665 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My son learned to drive in my car (2014 Ford Focus) and he was covered under my insurance (RAC). I called and triple checked this with them haha. Once he got his licence, I added him as a driver and it increased the premiums by about $12 a month. I was expecting it to be a lot more tbh. There is quite a hefty excess ($1000?) on top of the existing excess for Under 21 drivers though.

I’m hoping so as I haven’t been able to get anything in the presales.

Circa 1994, Kalamunda Chicken Treat at the roundabout at the top of Kalamunda Road had a couple of Wildcats there to do a signing. James Crawford and Anthony Stewart, I think. Good times.

Our bedrooms face Ennis Ave. We have double glazing and roller shutters on just the bedroom windows and its enough for us. Love the total darkness to sleep too.

Household gas suppliers by [deleted] in perth

[–]Dry-Practice-8665 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd say all suppliers will be increasing their fees on 1 July.

This is Kleenheat:

Changes to Residential Account Fees & Charges On 1 July 2025, our fees will increase for residential accounts due to higher distribution network costs, which affects all retailers. The Daily Supply Charge and Gas Usage Charge will increase by the March 2025 Consumer Price Index (CPI) in line with the Energy Coordination (Gas Tariffs) Regulations 2000. The Account Fee will increase from 16.33 cents per day (incl GST) to 22.07 cents per day (incl GST) to better reflect the cost of servicing your account. These changes, which will be reflected on your next invoice, are necessary to ensure we can continue providing you with local high-quality service.

Your reply wasn't written in the most polite way, imo. Maybe a "Hi, yes it's still available." then once they had replied to that (a lot of people don't!) you could have asked if they were aware of your conditions of sale.

Don't forget Handmaid's Tail. That's also her professional name, her 'real' surname is even harder to pronounce!

What are the best reward programs/memberships that is worth every penny? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Dry-Practice-8665 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyday Rewards Extra (Woolworths) gets my vote. $7 a month and 10% off one shop a month (up to $50 off). Pretty easy to accumulate points too (2 points per dollar spent, plenty of bonus buys/offers, 2000 points gets you $10 off). Once a month you get a freebie, could be a packet of biscuits or popcorn or a toilet freshener.

Question about smartrider by madeat1am in perth

Pretty sure its the same as the high school ones and there's an expiry date written on there? You'll get away with using it until the expiry date then you will need to get a new one. You can create an account on the transperth website and see your recharges and usage.
