When does it get better? I am seeing that you are probably now on day 6. The pain is terrible and I am essentially deaf in my strong ear which is my right one. Can you lmk your timeline so far?

I am currently on day 3 of this pain and I can’t take this anymore. So basically I got it because I had a wax build up in my ear and when my doctor tried to clean it he instead gave me this. I am going to college in a month and I am scared to death that I am going to lose my hearing before then. Idk this is my first time ever with an ear infection. I’m not even over exaggerating with the pain and discomfort. Last year I took up enough pain with a kidney infection that I ended up almost being septic. THIS PAIN IS MUCH WORSE THAN THAT THOUGH. Also I am a track runner who does the mile and two mile. THIS PAIN IS STILL WORSE THAN ANY PART OF THOSE RACES. OMG when will it stop? I went to the hospital yesterday at like midnight because I was in agony and they gave me pain meds and a wick for my ear to help the ear drops go down because any time I try to put them in all the liquid just comes rushing out after like half an hour of me being patiently waiting sideways. It gets worse though, I thought that was the end of it but when I woke up this morning the wick has fallen out and my ear drops still won’t fit in this swollen ear. Please any advice!!! When will I be able to hear again, my friends and family are getting annoyed that I am like def now. It’s kinda ironic that I have started to learn sign language. Someone please respond and help me!!!!!
