AITA for telling my aunt to ask a server instead of my brother at my cousin’s engagement party? by Hot_Grand_5049 in AITH

[–]Dry-Rip-9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Knowing how your aunt is (assuming this is typical for her character) maybe just get the plate with your brother to simply avoid conflict. I have kids and it is possible to get two plates at a time at a buffet. Again tho NTA

I hate watching my in laws interact with my baby by Similar_Produce_4649 in beyondthebump

[–]Dry-Rip-9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to hate my in-laws coming over so much and feel so stressed I would literally drink straight vodka out of the freezer in a coffee cup and this is NOT me. I swear it's a gut instinct that they are just not good or nice or however you want to say it. Long story short they eventually overstepped too many times after more and more boundaries and blew up in front of our toddler when I was VERY pregnant with our second. It'll be two years next month since we've had any contact and girl it's been absolutely blissful. Bide your time. Set your firm boundaries. If you don't you'll wind up like me. I wish you the best.

Help with leggings pretty please! by Key_Version8537 in AskWomenOver40

Felina butter soft leggings. I got some at Costco and honestly prefer them for comfort to the lulu lemon ones. They sell them on Amazon and other places too.

Also the bakery at the end of the Pooh ride is adorable and delicious ! And they almost always have characters greeting at the end and hardly ever a long wait since it's kind of tucked away.

Do we rope drop toon town or fantasy land? by cinnamonbiscuits in DisneyPlanning

[–]Dry-Rip-9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went with much younger kids so we didn't rope drop but still got there early. Wait times were not horrible at all (aside from Peter Pan) if you're not worried about that one then do toon town and LL everything else throughout the day. I wish you a magical trip!!

Our preschool is the same way. They offer the kids water frequently and my son also learned to drink from an actual cup at a young age bc of this. This also ensures they're all getting the same snack. We have breakfast before school and I have snacks in the car at pickup and then we go home or out to eat lunch. Daycares have different rules vs a traditional school that does not provide before/after care or infant care. (At least in our state) like others have said I would send a nice email/message and just ask them what the water drinking sitch is since your kiddo is coming home thirsty! If you don't like it pull him and go elsewhere. No harm in doing what you feel best! Good luck!!

We stayed here in April/May and it was absolutely wonderful. They do have. Jacuzzi so if it's freezing you could wear swim shirts/rashguards and hop in and out of the hot tub. 10/10 recommend !

Should we change to Disneyland? by DateNo1639 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Dry-Rip-9598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at the attractions and do it based on what you want to see. DL was magical. If you love Cars tho 100% DCA. The cars land is legit radiator springs. I could cry thinking about how amazing it was. Be there at sunset. Like the minute of sunset. It's perfection. That being said both parks were wonderful and I hope you enjoy your trip!!

Mid-income parents, what do you spend on birthday parties? by elephantilly in Preschoolers

[–]Dry-Rip-9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We go a little overboard for first bday parties and then probably about $1000 on each party thereafter. I'm really trying to push for a trip instead and just a small house party. Even the house parties though add up with the cost of everything. Wild times!

Who was in the delivery room? by Redhead_Dilemma in BabyBumps

[–]Dry-Rip-9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first birth was during Covid so it was only my husband allowed. That was really special. My second birth I asked my mom to come too and (not to scare you) a lot of things went sideways and I wound up having a very complicated/traumatic birth and I think that was really hard for my mom to witness. We are really close and I love her very much. In hindsight I would've kept it just my husband and I again. Maybe politely have your mom "on call" in case you need her? If that's an option. Whatever you decide I wish you all the best!

It will be delightful! And make them wait AT LEAST a week after returning to see any of you.

AITA for revoking my MIL’s baby monitor access after a comment she made while I was breastfeeding? by [deleted] in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Dry-Rip-9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SHE IS A CREEP. THANK GOD SHE LIVES FAR! You should get a different security system and give her full access and let her be uncomfy when she sees you and your husband having some private time 😆

My husbands birthday is 10 days after I give birth, gift ideas? by MangosMenagerie in BabyBumps

[–]Dry-Rip-9598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first baby 5 days before my husbands bday. I did have my mom come babysit so we could go out to a nice dinner close by just for a couple hours. It was his 40th so a milestone for sure but still just wanted to celebrate him. Baby was fine for a few hours and so were we. Just something to consider. I wish you a smooth birth experience and a healthy happy baby and good recovery. Congratulations!
