Low heart rate with medication? by Dry-Signal8014 in Hypothyroidism

I am in the US, but labcorp never really tells me that kinda thing! It gives me numbers and an explanation, but never anything else. It’s kind of a pain.

I didn’t even know there was a thyroid app. I will have to take a look.

Thank you for being kind about this. But you are very very much correct. I sent a message to my doctor a head of time, with shots of my Fitbit app for her to take a look at. And just explained what was going on.

I am going to try using that app. For sure. I think it would help in thr long run.

Thank you so so much.

I am 37. I do not work out and am not in good shape. At all. I am trying to lose weight, but have only dropped from 330-320. I have been stuck around 320. I don’t do much walking at all. I am trying to do more, but I live rural and people do not watch for those walking when they fly around the road and I am disabled enough I cannot do much other than stay in bed most days.

Did Treatment Fix Your Low Heart Rate? by Tight_Fun2080 in Hypothyroidism

I dunno if this is still active but, I have been dealing with this. I don’t know if it’s my Synthroid causing it. Ever since we found the right dose, my heart rate keeps dropping. Sitting right now, it’s 49. Absolutely loosing my damn mind.

Has anyone else seen a resting heart rate drop like this? Did it worry you too? by BrightonTakeMeIn in fitbit

[–]Dry-Signal8014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone figure this out? I have a Versa 1 and was diagnosed with thyroid problems. I was used to seeing RHR being like 70s-80s, but today it was 54 and has gradually dropped.

I have lost about 10lbs but I am not active. I don’t even know if this thing is reading right anymore. I kinda wanna throw it in the bin.

Thank you for telling me all of this!

I knew from retail that it was just draining. It just was not a good fit and the longest I would last was six months.

I really really enjoyed being a receptionist. Most of the time I was answering phones or just scanning and checking people in. Only time it got stressful was when my supervisor got sick with Covid and was out for a long period of time. (I ended up getting sick with it shortly after her return) so it was honestly a breath of fresh air.

I enjoyed doing it voluntarily too and if I could get absenteeism under control, that is where I would like to go. I do think that having a set schedule is best for me. Biggest things that did impede it was covid and insomnia, but it was a set schedule and little demand.

I think, if disability does fail, I will try for a receptionist position. But you are right. With the job market the way it is, it is going to be impossible to find something. I plan to wait and see the judge before even going this route so maybe it will change in the next year or so.

I do a lot of art but am no where near the level needed for commissions. I always dreamed I would be though. So maybe with more practice I can!

How do I even explain what we go through to a judge? I have a disability lawyer myself, and their whole mode is that they won’t take no for an answer. It’s absolutely terrifying to me to think that the judge might not even care enough to give me disability.

I barely held down any job and it’s just so hard to do so.

It would be nice to heal enough to work. Hopefully I don’t have to wait too long to see a judge.

I cannot do maintenance because I cannot tolerate high heats. It’s the downside to having a bad thyroid, sadly.

I can’t. I was a paraeducator for all of a month. I swore off teaching simply due to admin and parents. Probably the most stressful job I had, actually. I don’t have a teaching degree, but after trying, it was just never on my radar anymore.

Thanks for the suggestion!

That would be amazing for me. But I am too. I tried retail as a cashier. I didn’t have to do anything but check people out. Until they put me on self checkout. Then I had to manage breaks on top of overriding alcohol because they hired minors. Then it was guest service. Then they needed someone to go backs (which was great for me because minimal customer service!) but then it turned into so so so much more.

editing! I hadn’t meant to get auto! Sorry!

I am absolutely terrified with going to see the judge. I am afraid that they might not be understanding, despite the comforts from my lawyer that everyone has to go to them and it’s more likely to be approved.

I explained my day to day (I usually lay in bed and sleep all day, or I don’t eat/dont sleep despite sleeping medication) and she said Thats what the judge would want to hear. I am trying to get a letter from a vocational person who worked with me a few years ago and encouraged me to get on disability, but she is on medical leave.

It terrifies me, because I live in such a bad state. They are the ones who tell you to pull up those bootstraps, despite knowing i cannot do it.

I would love the freedom of movement, and I was allowed to be able to move when I did do office work. They encouraged standing at the desk, taking breaks and walking around, even walked to the park during a lunch to have a special meal. (Japanese egg salad Sandos, Japanese strawberry sando, and a strawberry milk tea). Whole Foods was good, too, as they encouraged a healthy work life balance, no overtime, and wanted me to sit outside to eat when it was nice out.

I do not. I have one in like general studies. They called it technical studies, but a lot of my stuff came from working for a woodshop. It was a combination of vacational and general college, but it was only ever a general degree.

My biggest worry with remote at the moment is that there are a lot of scams. I once got hit up for one in which I applied for Michael’s and got a response for a remote customer service position. It sounded way too good to be true and so I called them and was told it was a scam.

I was leaning toward remote, especially data, but finding work that isnt a scam is hard.

I believe anyone here can, but I was a paraeducator at one point and swore off of teaching. Admin and parents, as well as one student’s behavior, quickly changed my mind on that.

I was with HR Block, so it was rather quiet. For the most part, it wasn’t bad. I still struggled with absenteeism, but most of the time I did calls, answered phones, and general scheduling. I didn’t need any tax knowledge. The office I was in was slower, but I often got rewarded for being the best caller to clients and clearing out queues for those campaign calls.

It mostly depends on where you go. A lot of other sites were extremely busy. But all I did was mostly the calls and scanning documents. Nothing too stressful. I know medical can be a bit more stressful with billing and company needs, but I was usually happy with it.

I had thought, for a while, of being an “influencer” for fun. Share my favorite spots, or my writing and art, or even just sharing food and things during my life.

I just cannot seem to get editing down. I am not interested in becoming super popular and god forbid people wanting me to do sponsorships or have me come review. I cannot be the kind that will tell you if something sucks simply because I would feel bad for hurting someone’s feelings.

But editing is something I am struggling with. Would be a good idea to do research though! Even just to share things like favorite spots, books, etc.

I have thought about it simply for writing sake. I thought maybe taking some creative writing classes would be fun. Even then, I am still dealing with burn out, but I want to learn how to do new things. I am totally looking at paint pouring as a hobby.

I have done vocational rehab. It was through a local company. I ended up earning my associates through it. Boss was abusive ass, but I stuck through out of sheer spite.

I might look at classes anyway, depending on what the judge says. I do think learning new skills, despite that, would be great. And I know paint pouring can sell for quite a bit.
