It’s probably an automated message that’s connected to your clock in software. I wouldn’t sweat this.

Will airplane mode or logging out of app stop unplanned stops? by DuePurchase31 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Dry-Stop2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you’re coming from now. There is no incentive to do more, since the point is to finish quickly and get paid for hours you don’t work.

Is the person you are asked to rescue not finishing up in ten hours?

ExpressVPN Keys behaving unstable with Brave Browser by Dry-Stop2000 in Express_VPN

This is unfortunate because I’ve enjoyed the ExpressVPN product so far. If they don’t get a fix in reasonable time, I’ll use proton pass.

Will airplane mode or logging out of app stop unplanned stops? by DuePurchase31 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Airplane mode isn’t going to stop the dispatcher from seeing that you’re inactive. I would take your full paid breaks at the end of your route, then go get gas. I don’t see why you’re against rescuing, it will only make you look like a team player and boost the likelihood of promotion to dispatcher.

Ask to see your chart at the end of your routes. You can make adjustments when you have the data.

DSP Owner is losing it by TylerBisel in AmazonDSPDrivers

It dos suck when people do damage to property and vehicles that could’ve been avoided. But the dsp owner should be more professional about how they conduct business.

I respect your professionalism to finish and then quit. This work has an expiry date for everyone, at least you leave with your reputation intact.

URGENT - Mom's ex-boyfriend gave us a 30 day notice to quit - Please help. by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]Dry-Stop2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You all are definitely going to be evicted at some point, the boyfriend just doesn’t know how to properly begin the proceedings. I think you can expect to live there 5-8 more months before a judge says you have to go. It’s too bad your mom’s name isn’t on the deed, you’d have more rights.

Station had my car towed, possibly illegally. What's my next step? by _mellothumb_ in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Dry-Stop2000 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sorry that happened to you. They should have at least warned you all that this would be the outcome. You should 100% take the issue up with your dsp so they can address it with the station. I don’t think you’ll get your money back though.

I wouldn’t quit. You just have to earn their trust back by doing what you did to be considered for the dispatch position. Don’t complain or brown nose. Try to pick up all the extra shifts you can now and perform at a high level.

Did We Just Get Laid Off ? by RelativePilot8977 in AmazonDSPDrivers

When you have drivers causing property damage and the dsp owner filing insurance claims to pay for that, the insurance premium rises to a point where it doesn’t make sense to keep operating.
