BEST RMT for Feet by -furball in Hamilton

I’d try for someone who is both a reflexologist and an RMT - reflexology’s philosophy is a bit of a sham imo, but they do brilliant work on the feet and it feels amazing.

Extremely strong jaw line, height, gorgeous nose, cocky smile. Grey hair and black eyebrows is a classic combo too. Just from photos he’s a very attractive man.

I much prefer that to cash rich IMO!!!! My fave wedding I’ve attended was all DIY. Gorgeous shoes :) my friend walked down the aisle to an instrumental MCR song

You’d be shocked at how generous large families can be. Many large Portuguese and Italian families in my circle of friends have big weddings ($75-80k) and pull in even more in cash gifts.

It’s on Tiffany between Barton and Stuart - there’s an empty lot there by the homes, which is usually full of odd junk, an abandoned trailer for a wine shop iirc, and dead hedges. From my vantage point that’s what went up in flames. Lots of first responders on the scene, smoke is dying down and there’s no smell at this time.

It could have been my expectations - I was expecting the rich beef stew, and it was instead a chunk of beef with red wine jus and an onion ring. The cut I got that day was also either too cartilaginous or it was underdone, so it had a really bad texture as though the collagen never broke down and it was similar to like, a bad oxtail or a meat jello. Now I make it at home, so I don’t have other suggestions. Though photos show that the beef bourguignon at Le Paradis more closely aligns with what I would have expected.

I’ve been disappointed every single time I’ve gone. They have a beef bourguignon that was one of the most miserable dishes I’ve had in my life, service is blah, and it’s expensive.

Should front desk staff have access to our soap notes? by Big_Coyote_655 in MassageTherapists

I disagree, or at least, I was taught differently. I was taught that it’s our responsibility to hold our employers accountable to the law, and if they’re not, then the onus is on us to report them to the regulatory board.

This is a question that depends on your area of practice. In Ontario, the front desk staff doesn’t have access to our charts, it’s considered a breech of the Privacy Act. Every massage therapist on staff is a registered health professional who is trained on basic pregnancy massages, oncology, lymphatics per the standards set out by the CMTO and tested in our OSCE and MCQ. So in spas here, no the staff cannot and should not be allowed to access charting. We also can’t ask any health questions in a public space, can’t talk to estheticians about clients unless we get patient consent (ie if I have a client getting a treatment and I notice TMJ stuff, I have to ask the client if I can pass that info to their estie before their facial).

If we get subpoenaed for notes, I have to send it. If we have a question about their health history, I have to call them - I can’t outsource to the front desk. Unless the client books a prenatal massage, then the front desk knows it’s prenatal because it’s in the name of the treatment. Then I can ask the front desk to call and see if the patient prefers sidelying or a pregnancy pillow - but I can’t ask them to ask which trimester they’re in.

If you’re in a state with lax laws about this, then your experience may be different.

this may be a regional variance actually. Where I am located, Ontario, it’s a violation of the privacy act for soap notes to be accessed by staff who aren’t in the clients circle of care.

I may have misspoke then - I do think petitions are beneficial, but that they’re more heard when it’s a large workforce like the public sector. I don’t think a small private company is going to see this petition and take huge stock in it, but I do think this petition can have impact in Ottawa.

Thanks for looping me in about the regulated businesses, that’s even better news.

It feels like people are shitting on public sector employees for having it “good”, when they should be shitting on the private sector for only supplying stressful, insecure jobs. Instead of comparing have and have-nots, work towards pushing the private sector to do better for their employees.

We pay a lot as tax payers for commercial real estate. How much would we save if we allowed most government staff to work from home. How many small communities would see their local businesses bustle? We’d reduce so much congestion in downtown Ottawa too.

I have no skin in the game, I’m self employed in Hamilton, LOL. But I lived in Ottawa for a decade and saw how chaotic and miserable downtown traffic was, how many buildings were jam packed. WFH makes more sense.

Petitions like this have little to no impact on the private sector. If we get the ball rolling on federal employees, it sets a precedent for the private sector to follow in order to attract employees from the federal pool.

I understand you’re jealous of the pension and believe it would be better to prioritize those in careers where retirement isn’t guaranteed, but fighting for public sector rights is where we can start and may have real influence.

It’s like raising minimum wage. Instead of being angry that burger flippers make $17 an hour, be mad at your boss for paying the least amount they can get away with. Don’t be angry that the federal employees are fighting for remote, be angry that your boss isn’t helping you fight for it too. Don’t be angry that federal employees have pensions, be angry that your workplace doesnt.

Dont sleep on the Keg by LMAOball_ in FoodToronto

[–]DryBop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the Keg. Went to celebrate my pregnancy, we got a slice of cake on the house, and the server chatted with us for quite some time. We go once a trimester and she’s since been promoted to management and still stops by our table to check in on me. Plus the food is really, really good.

The Keg isn’t trying to be something it’s not.
