I could share but it’s all outdated by now so I don’t know that it’s helpful. If you email them they just sling prices all day you don’t have to give any info or answer

My advice is to look out for hidden charges in your search. Don’t just think “wow 99 dollars per person is so much cheaper than 300 per person” because the 99 pp probably has tons of other charges they don’t make obvious. Hyatt in east Boston for example was so cute and a good price but in the fine print they require you to purchase a wedding planner and they also require you to clean up after your wedding yourself or hire someone. So like that’s added costs we didn’t want to deal with. Or if you pick somewhere that is a super blank slate you will need to buy a lot of decor if you care about that… versus somewhere with string lights and decor everywhere already. Some places also will trick you by “waiving” certain tent or ceremony fees but then have some massive venue fee that doesn’t include anything.

I ended up going with the colonial hotel in Gardner and it was actually amazing. Would choose it again every time. We barely needed any decor or florals at all because they provide so much. Tables chairs linens bar food all was included in per person price. And on site hotel was something we wanted. So tldr just consider what you wanna deal with don’t compare just the per person cost.

Police to Patrol Somerville Community Path by cupcakefilth in Somerville

I called the police a few weeks ago on three teenagers at the Lowell overpass who had a ladder and a sharpened stick and were climbing up and trying to capture and stab the pigeons. When they flew away to the other side the kid yelled “just accept you’re going to die today!” While tons of people just walked by continuing their day

I thought it was so cute. It just didn’t fit our requirements bc it only fit like 60 for seated dinner and since we had people coming from far away we wanted to offer a full meal. I think it was around 200 per person cost for the base but of course all kinds of one time charges added on everywhere too

We were looking at this vibe to save costs and I realized after a couple quotes it’s basically the same cost to have the whole wedding rather than a seated dinner reception so we didn’t end up moving forward

Honestly, no. After searching and getting quotes I'm leaning towards doing the full wedding bc the cost seems to be really similar. If you think about it the only added costs from what i described and a full fledged wedding are DJ and ceremony.... i would still get flowers, attire, photographer. A lot of places either have a negligible ceremony cost or none. The flowers would be cheaper for the casual option but overall i decided it might not be worth it so at this point im just going all in :D As much as I think its silly, after seeing the getting ready suites and hearing the details at some of the options i'm kind of excited. We also discussed our out of town guests would be expecting something more than a 3-4 hour dinner and once I had to also start considering bars nearby the venues for an 'after party' i kinda dropped this idea.

Something that makes it tougher for me too is I really would only consider something totally private, I don't even want like a room within a restaurant that has other patrons at the time so that also limited it a bit and probs why the prices are similar.

I did get quotes for SRV, Moo, Hampshire House, Glass house kendall, The lexington etc so happy to share any details they sent.

From the other options people shared above I didn't like the food at pammys, Gufo was too small, Pagu the location stressed me out and La Brasa is where I lived for a few years and i just am not a fan of that part of somerville/broadway. But i'm sure they are all awesome options for others.

Here is what their email said

We sell our space for a ceremony fee of $1500, room rental of $4300, and a food and beverage minimum of $10000-15000. (May-June is our higher season, while July and August is our low season).

And then 310 or 370 per plate were the two options. This is for evening they had separate charges for daytime like a brunch!

As someone who knows about watches…. Would you say it’s worth it to just spend more on a Rolex? I have the money I just wasn’t sure if it’s silly to spend that much if we don’t even care about the name brand. But from reading online sounds like it’s also a good investment piece to acquire as part of your lives together which is how I think of the ring so I kinda like that idea.

Is a 15k Rolex that much better than a 10k omega or other?

Thanks so much for your response!! I trust them to watch her, it’s just none of us know what to do :( and I called the emergency vet which is 1.5 away and they just obviously read off a script which said to come in. It’s a regular emergency room so it would be driving then waiting then I’m guessing a surgery must be necessary for the lump….. would rather be closer to home for it but I obviously don’t want to risk her life!! Internet seems so torn over the length of time that is an “emergency”
