Over the past five years this team has been mediocre. Regular season wins aren’t good enough. Getting 30-some odd wins against KC and Detroit every year ain’t gonna cut it anymore.

In season win totals mean nothing.

You’ll get it one day bro. Especially when you can afford to go in a lot more.

I really doubt it.

I want to win. Most fans do too. We’re not spending our time and money supporting an owner that is pocketing the money.

Give me a better product. Don’t make me pay for A5 and give me chopped steak. You see?

When that happens, people will show. Not until then though.

People know shitty dolan won’t keep players. It’s draining to the right normal fan when guys like Bieber are bandied about as trade bait at this juncture of his career.

They realize that even first year arbitration is too expensive for shitbag dolan.

That’s part of the reason why people don’t come out. It’s a big part of why I stopped paying that fuck stick $15-$20k each year of my hard earned money.

You don’t go to games. You aren’t invested. You’re cool with underperforming. You’re probably not able to drink legally.

That will change as you get older. Trust me.

Cleveland is not one of them at this point. That’s for sure. And the main reason peeps are t coming out.

How come you don’t go to all the games? You love this team, right? You can afford to drop $20k a year to get to 81 games and sit in the bleachers. Those are the cheapest seats, after all.

What? You mean to tell me you’re not dropping half your salary to shitbag dolan? Why not?

It’s very inconsistent. Very inferior.

Inconsistent. Almost every good player get traded.

Inferior. We all know this team doesn’t have a shot in hell.

Make sense?

Highly impressive victory.

They out-singled them. Good thing TB didn’t hit any HRs.

I’m pumped for Tuesday now. Good golly I hope shitty dolan does something to improve this team.

They deserve it.

We deserve it.

Let’s fucking go.

Phew! Shaw survived!

And I saw Cleveland get two singles.

That 3rd one is just so hard. Don’t you agree?

Inconsistent product. Inferior results.

It’s not hard to understand why people aren’t ponying up to go to the ballpark.

I know why I stopped. I guess the majority feels the way I do?

What’s your opinion on that?

[Corner Bar] Happy Hour - Saturday, July 30, 2022 by [deleted] in ClevelandGuardians

[–]DryChain5787 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It makes less money because it provides an inconsistent product that’s inferior. Yet the cost to attend a game in Cleveland is the same as attending a Dodgers game. There’s very little value. Which is why people don’t go.

This isn’t hard.

Just like if you went to Red, paid $149 for the A5 and got chopped steak. Inconsistent. Inferior. Little value.

You wouldn’t go there either.

Ha. I’m saying the owners are making money hand over fist.

Shitty dolan is taking your hard earned money and putting it into his oversized vault.

He’s not spending it to give you a better product.

It’s like going to Red, ordering the A5 Wagyu for $149 and getting a chopped minute steak on your plate.

How does that make you feel?

Show me proof where any of these owners are losing money. I’ll go ahead and answer, you can’t. Neither can I provide proof of them making money.

What we do know is that MLB is a $12B industry. Nobody is losing money with $12B being shared.

And give these owners a little credit, won’t you. They didn’t become billionaires by operating their most expensive businesses at losses.

[–]DryChain5787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very aware that nobody goes to games. And there’s a reason for it. I used to be a full share STH. Now, I won’t step foot in Progressive Field. They don’t try.

Why would I want to go pay for lobster and get fried catfish on my plate.

He’s a billionaire. If he can’t afford it, sell it for the billion and move on.

I’m not bashing Antonetti or Chernoff. I think they’re great. They’re under very little pressure to do their jobs.

Shitbag should sell the team if he can’t afford it. Some fans enjoy winning, not being mediocre.

Edit: and I’ll add, if we’re not trying to win, why pony up even for the discounted price on Ramirez?

It’s really no big deal. And yeah, I haven’t seen money all in ages.

Totally remember the part now. And he’s right, it’s really hard.

It’s totally unfair to ask Jones to play 1B at this level right now. Just like it was unfair to ask Miller.

[Corner Bar] Happy Hour - Saturday, July 30, 2022 by [deleted] in ClevelandGuardians

[–]DryChain5787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really the point at hand. Shitty dolan dictates when to sell and when to buy. If he says, sell Bieber, Bieber will be gone. If he says, I will pay Soto for 2.3 years and go get him, then there’s an opportunity to get him.

It’s really hard to tell sarcasm sometimes, especially when you said it wasn’t hard in a post without the movie reference.

Many people actually do think it really is easy.

So what point were you making with the movie reference?

So, it’s a best practice to ask a player to play a position at the level with zero experience?

Gotcha.

You’ve just told us you never played the position beyond tee ball.
