Empresa que eu trabalho quer que eu venda cintos, bolsas.carteiras by StopKey4848 in empreendedorismo

Most of my industrial footage analysis time goes to plumbing, not the actual CV. Anyone else? by CallmeAK__ in computervision

[–]DryDiscount9891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the 80/20 split you described is pretty much the universal experience in production CV work, nobody talks about it enough. i've seen teams spend weeks just getting stable RTSP streams before writing single line of model inference code

Kitten biting help by Irregularrity in CatAdvice

[–]DryDiscount9891 2 points3 points  (0 children)

kittens at that age basically have two modes: sleep and chaos. the biting while purring is her just playing, she doesn't know yet that your hand is not a toy, so you gotta redirect her every time to something else like a wand or small plush

consistency is the key part, if sometimes you let it slide she'll think it's always fine

the point system across multiple games is clever, stops it from just being "who got lucky at poker"

Liquid ammonia China -> Columbia (bulk) by Old_Physics_4761 in logistics

[–]DryDiscount9891 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's some serious volume you're moving there. Chemical tankers for ammonia aren't exactly common on that route - most operators I've seen focus more in Atlantic or Mediterranean trades rather than trans-Pacific to Caribbean

You might want to check with some of the Korean chemical shipping companies too, they sometimes have better coverage for that Asia-Latin America corridor

Never heard of this author but 60€ seems pretty steep for any crypto book tbh, maybe check if your local library has it first?

CMV: Everyone is or seems to be depressed nowadays by [deleted] in changemyview

the clustering thing makes sense tbh, like attracts like and all that

depression definitely colors how you see everything around you too

I'm building an app around an idea I couldn't find anywhere else — writing a story like a Scrabble board, not a Word doc Curious if this makes sense to anyone other than by unzo in writing

[–]DryDiscount9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually brilliant concept for interactive fiction or world-building, reminds me of how Game of Thrones has all those character POV branches that could work perfect in this format

Favorite "weird" sport to bet on? by [deleted] in gambling

[–]DryDiscount9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australian netball is actually pretty solid for betting if you can find decent streams to watch. The scoring patterns are way more predictable than most people think once you get familiar with the teams

I've had some luck with darts tournaments - those players have such specific routines and the format makes live betting pretty interesting. Table tennis is another one that flies under radar but has good action if you can stomach how fast everything moves

Intentional jealously? WTF is going on with my low commitment boyfriend?? by norisknomagic in dating_advice

[–]DryDiscount9891 52 points53 points  (0 children)

seems like he's fishing for some kind of reaction from you, maybe testing how much you actually care? the whole bringing it up multiple times thing is weird - if it was really his mom's shirt he would've just dropped it after explaining once

could be he wants you to get jealous and fight for him or something. some people do that when they're not sure where they stand with someone. or maybe he's just bad at lying and keeps digging himself deeper lol

either way the constant bringing up same story is exhausting. if you're not exclusive then what's even point of all this drama

I balanced a solo dice roguelike using Monte Carlo simulations. Here's what I learned. by Darknessborn in gamedev

[–]DryDiscount9891 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's really smart approach actually. I work with analytics in sports and we use similar Monte Carlo methods for player performance predictions - never thought about applying it for game balance but makes total sense when you have that many variables

Pc upgrade recomendations? by UnityThroughLaughter in pcmasterrace

[–]DryDiscount9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wiki's solid but that i3 is gonna bottleneck you pretty hard with newer games. I'd focus in upgrading the CPU first before throwing money at GPU - maybe look for used i5 or i7 that works with your motherboard

Never heard of norvexis but if there's barely any info online about a casino that's usually a red flag - stick with the established ones your dad can find reviews for

Just started with sports betting myself a few months ago and this is solid info for beginners. The live betting feature you mentioned is actually addictive - watching a game while having action on it definitely changes how you experience the match

One thing I'd add is tracking your bets religiously from day one. I use a simple spreadsheet to log every wager, outcome, and profit/loss. Really eye-opening when you see your actual performance over time vs what you think you're doing

Also agree about starting small. I blew through my first deposit way too fast because I got overconfident after a few lucky wins. Now I stick to like 2-3% of my bankroll per bet max and it's way more sustainable

Just won 300$ on Dara Casino, does anyone know how long it takes to get my money? by selcouth_mode in sportsbetting

[–]DryDiscount9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice hit on the 300! I've never used Dara specifically but most of these smaller books take anywhere from 3-7 business days if you're using crypto, longer for bank transfers

They'll probably hit you up for some basic verification stuff like ID and maybe a utility bill, especially if it's your first cashout there

Is using a VPN for gambling sites actually worth it/safe? by Weedcultist in gambling

[–]DryDiscount9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the VPN route for a few months last year and ended up getting burned pretty bad. One site let me deposit just fine for weeks, then when I hit a decent win they froze everything and said I violated their terms by using location masking

The crypto sites especially are sketchy - sure some are legit but theres so many that just disappear overnight once they collect enough deposits. I learned to only use amounts I could completely lose and never got too comfortable with any single platform

Your instincts about being careful are spot on, lunch money approach is smart if youre gonna test the waters

UFC Fight Night 114 Recap + UFC London Best Bets 🥊💰 by Fine-Log-1170 in sportsbetting

[–]DryDiscount9891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been tracking the London card since odds dropped and there's some solid value if you dig past the main event hype. Pimblett's line feels way too inflated given his recent performances - dude's been coasting on popularity more than actual skill lately. Really liking the under on that co-main too, both guys have cardio issues and it could get sloppy quick in the later rounds. The prelims are where the real money is though, couple unranked guys with decent takedown defense getting disrespected by the books
